As Dragon Age: The Veilguard players explore the fort in the Rivain Coast’s Clifftops area, they may encounter three statues that can be rotated. These statues serve as a puzzle, and while it is not mandatory that fans solve it, there is a chest that can be accessed by doing so. For those players who may be struggling to reach that chest, this guide to Dragon Age: The Veilguard‘s Rivain Coast statues puzzle is here to help.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard – How to Solve Rivain Coast Statues Puzzle

As players are sure to expect, the key to solving the Rivain Coast statues puzzle in Dragon Age: The Veilguard is rotating the three statues into specific positions. However, fans will not find the correct positions indicated in the room with the statues, and they will actually need to look for the puzzle’s solution on one of the fort’s exterior walls.

More specifically, players who are facing the statue puzzle should turn around, walk through the short hallway, and climb the ladder in the room at the end. At the top of the ladder, action RPG fans should pass through the opening on their left, and they will see a metal gate blocking a chest directly in front of them. There are three small statues embedded into the wall to the right of the gate, and they depict the proper positions for the larger statues: right, left, back.

Players should now climb back down the nearby ladder and return to the statue puzzle. Fans of fantasy games should then rotate the statues so that they match their smaller counterparts, and here are, once again, the correct positions:

  • Left Statue : Face right. It should be looking at the middle statue.
  • Middle Statue: Face left. It should be looking at the left statue.
  • Right Statue: Face away. It should be looking at the back wall.

Once all three statues have been appropriately rotated, players will hear the sounds of a descending ladder and a rising gate. The newly-accessible ladder can be found just in front of the left statue, and it leads directly to the previously-blocked chest. Inside that Dragon Age: The Veilguard chest, fans will find a Heavy headpiece, and they may want to equip it immediately.
