G2 Esports and Stride Esports have come together to support all levels of Rocket League esports, from amateur to pro. Together they will create a Rocket League tournament circuit that will cultivate communities, learning, and personal development. With a focus on fostering grass-roots competition in North America, the partnership will contribute to the future esports talent pool pipeline for aspiring pros.
Speaking of pros, alongside Stride we are proud to announce the addition of Daniel “Daniel” Piecenski and Landon “BeastMode” Konerman to G2 Stride Rocket League. Lining up alongside Massimo “Atomic” Franceschi, these three will be a force to be reckoned with in RLCS, and a great example for all aspiring pros.
“Creating a partnership that provides opportunities for young players to learn and engage in esports with a recognized team like G2 will have an incredible impact,” commented Karen Ghidotti, Senior Vice President of Customer Experience at Stride. “Over more than two decades, Stride has impacted the lives of more than 2 million K-12 students, and we want to continue to bring unique learning opportunities to life. More than simply sponsoring a Rocket League pro team, this partnership will open up opportunities for young people to learn, grow, and prepare for their future.”
STRIDE.GG is a premium tournament platform that provides comprehensive esports solutions and tools for gamers. The partnership with G2 is their first with an esports team. The collaboration will bring the two companies together to promote community-building and Rocket League talent cultivation, with opportunities for aspiring talent to try out for G2’s North American Rocket League team.
The formation of the partnership definitively lays out a path-to-pro which ambitious Rocket League gamers have been craving for so long. In a stream of consistent competitive opportunities to try out for a spot on the G2 RLCS team, gamers will finally have their chance to shoot their shot for a way into the big leagues by sharpening their skills with like-minded players in these specifically-crafted communities.
Alban Dechelotte, CEO of G2 Esports, comments: “We’re excited to join forces with STRIDE.GG to support the future of Rocket League esports in North America through strengthening the grassroots pipeline and providing more opportunities for aspiring players. We’re also thrilled to welcome Daniel and Beastmode from Version1 to the team – two young players that represent the best new talent of North America.”
