Apex Legends Season 21 is the next major update for the free-to-play battle royale, and after Season 20 skipped a new Legend, many are excited to see what’s in store for the new season.

Apex Legends Season 21 release date & time

Apex Legends Season 21 will start on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, according to the in-game Battle Pass timer for Season 20. Apex updates always arrive on Tuesdays at around 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST, so this is the time we expect the update to go live on May 7.

While Respawn Entertainment have always been consistent with their season release dates and times, there’s always a chance that things get delayed, so we’ll be sure to update this piece if anything changes.

Apex Legends Season 21 Legend leaked: Alter abilities & details

Alter is said to be the new Legend arriving in Season 21 according to leaks. The devs did accidentally reveal the Legend, and they have also started teasing the Legend, but their name is yet to be official.

According to the teasers, it seems Alter will be a fairly cheeky/rebellious Legend, as they have graffitied all over the PlayApex X page and EA’s Apex Legends website. Alter can also be seen knocking the drinks out of MRVN’s arm on the lobby screen, presenting the character as mischievous.

Apex Legends dataminer Osvaldatore has leaked Alter’s abilities:

• Passive
  • Can remotely interact with a deathbox to claim one item. Cannot be armor.
• Tactical – Void Passage
  • Creates a portal passageway through a surface.
• Ultimate – Void Nexus
  • Create a regroup point that all allies can remotely interact with to open a phase tunnel back to that location.

As these are leaks, take them with a pinch of salt, as nothing has been confirmed officially by Respawn. Once we know more official information regarding Alter, including her full kit of abilities, we’ll be sure to update this section.

Apex Legends Season 21 Olympus & Broken Moon changes

There have been many teasers regarding map changes, as many suspect Alter to be behind the teleportation and explosion of Olympus, which seems to have collided with Cleo’s moon, the location of the Broken Moon map.

It’s unclear what Olympus being teleported and exploding over Broken Moon actually means for both maps. Many suspect the two maps may collide and combine to create a combination of the two maps, but nothing has been confirmed. We’ll likely know more as we get closer to Apex Legends Season 21.

Apex Legends Season 21 leaks: Solo & Quad modes

Apex Legends leaker Osvaldatore has claimed that Season 21 will introduce a Solo and Quads battle royale mode, and they won’t be limited-time modes.

Nothing has been confirmed so take this with a pinch of salt, but if true, players have been calling for a solo mode ever since the Iron Crown event back in Season 2, so it would make many in the player base extremely happy.
