RPG fans have been sitting in anticipation for Dragon’s Dogma 2 for several years and the time has finally come for the game. One of Capcom’s biggest IPs alongside Devil May Cry and Monster Hunter, Dragon’s Dogma has been revolutionary for the RPG genre.
2024 is set to be stacked with massive releases, with games like Tekken 8, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and Black Myth: Wukong hitting shelves. Now, it’s time for Capcom to bring back its iconic combat style with Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 release date
Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be released on March 22, 2024, as announced by Capcom in the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Showcase on November 28, 2023.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 platforms
Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be released on PC, Xbox Series X and Series S, and PlayStation 5. Pre-orders are now live for these platforms.
Unfortunately, the game will not be released for last-gen consoles such as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 story
Just like the previous installment, you will be playing as the Arisen in Dragon’s Dogma 2. The story remains to be straightforward as you will have to defeat the person behind these attacks and retrieve your heart at the end.

We see the Arisen facing a number of gigantic enemies in the trailer which gives a little insight into the story as well. The main theme of the story is the unending conflict between two nations— the human kingdom of Vermund and the eastern kingdom of Battahl, even though both want to exterminate the dragon that took Arisen’s heart.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 setting
Dragon’s Dogma 2 is set in a world that is parallel to the previous installment. The theme is set around Gransys, the same fantasy-themed world from the previous 2012 title, but will be four times bigger than the first Dragon’s Dogma.
For the ones who love exploring in RPG titles, Dragon’s Dogma 2 seems to be the perfect game for them. Aside from an extensive list of endemic life and monsters roaming throughout the map, it seems like players will never be exhausted from exploring everything Dragon’s Dogma 2 has to offer.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 gameplay
Although Capcom has not revealed the exact number of classes in Dragon’s Dogma 2, we can see several melee and magical characters, including archers using magic in the reveal trailer. Plus, you get to recruit your very own AI-controlled companions as well.
Players will be able to make use of the newly introduced Pawn system and take on the wide range of quests and activities present in the game. Aside from the main questline, you can take on hundreds of side quests and interact with various characters, alongside hunting monsters and enhancing your build.
