Pokemon Scarlet and Violet brought all previous starter Pokemon back with The Indigo Disk DLC, but to catch them, you need to do a few things first. So, here’s how to get every starter from past generations in the game.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet introduced longtime fans and newcomers to a whole new generation of interesting and powerful creatures. The games also brought a ton of new features for players to explore in a new open-world experience. From the Terastal phenomenon to new Legendaries, Scarlet and Violet players have kept busy with new items, abilities, events, and more.

However, a recurring complaint with the latest entries in the franchise is that not every Pokemon is available to catch from the start. Luckily for players, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC brought hundreds of beloved Pokemon back thanks to new features and areas for players to explore.

Additionally, Part Two of the DLC, The Indigo Disk, has brought all starter Pokemon from previous generations back. So, if you want to add these beloved species to your Pokedex, here’s how to get every starter in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

In Part Two of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC, players will get to explore the Terarium. This location is a facility with artificial biomes located inside Blueberry Academy. There, many Pokemon not available to encounter in Paldea or Kitakami will appear, including all starters from previous generations.

The Boost biodiversity projects cost 3000 BP each.

But to make all starters spawn in the Terarium map, players will need to complete 4 donations to the Terarium Club. These cost 3000 BP (Blueberry Points) each and are called “Boost biodiversity in the X Biome,” which means, one per each biome in the Terarium.

A total of 12000 BP is needed to unlock the spawn for all starters in Scarlet and Violet DLC The Indigo Disk, so, if you want to catch those precious Pokemon, you better start grinding.

Of course, if you have a Pokemon Home account with starters from previous games, you can transfer certain ones over. On the other hand, breeding eggs from starter Pokemon caught through Tera Raid Battles is another viable method to get starters in Scarlet and Violet.
