Honkai Star Rail is getting ready to bring its biggest update yet, and players are looking forward to the new characters that’ll debut soon. Here’s everything we know so far about Sparkle, including her leaked abilities and Light Cone.
Honkai Star Rail launched its 1.6 update to give players new game modes alongside special events and powerful characters. However, while players await for Dr. Ratio to arrive, HoYoverse is already teasing what’s coming next.
Update 2.0 of Honkai Star Rail will take players to Penacony, a new location brimming with colorful characters and festivities. Among those characters is Sparkle, and here’s everything we know about her, including leaked abilities and more.
Who is Sparkle in Honkai Star Rail?
According to official promo material, Sparkle is a member of the Masked Fools in Honkai Star Rail. This group worships the Aeon Aha The Elation, and they believe existence is a joke. Aha is said to be one of the Aeons closer to mortals, as they enjoy causing chaos and inspire their believers to delight in the joys of life.
Sparkle is described as “a dangerous master of theatrics engrossed in playing roles” who’s only interested in amusement. It’s yet unknown what role she’ll play in the Penacony storyline, but we’ll keep you updated. It’s worth noting that most leaks called the character Hanabi until HoYoverse confirmed her official name in December 2023.

Players already met some members of the Masked Fools, like Sampo and Giovanni, in different missions and side quests, but it’s not yet known if they’ll play an important role in Honkai Star Rail’s story going forward.
Does Sparkle have a release date in Honkai Star Rail?
No, HoYoverse haven’t confirmed Sparkle’s release date in Honkai Star Rail yet. However, since the character was officially revealed alongside Black Swan, Misha, and others, she’s expected to debut with the 2.0 update very soon.

Sparkle leaked abilities in Honkai Star Rail
According to leaks, Sparkle is a five-star Quantum element character in the Path of The Harmony in Honkai Star Rail. This means she specializes in providing boosts to allies’ abilities as a support character.
This is what we know about Sparkle’s abilities in Honkai Star Rail, according to leaks:
- Basic ATK – Deals Quantum DMG to a single enemy.
- Skill – Increases the CRIT DMG of an ally based on Sparkle’s CRIT DMG for 1 turn. Also, Advances the unit’s action Forward by 50%. If Sparkle uses this ability on herself, the Action Advance will not trigger.
- Ultimate – Recovers 4 Skill Points for allies and grants them ‘Cipher.’ Every ally with ‘Cipher’ will increase the DMG dealt by Sparkle’s Talent for 2 turns.
- Talent – When Sparkle is on the battlefield, increases the max number of Skill Points by 2. When an ally consumes 1 Skill Point, increase the DMG of all allies for 2 turns. This effect can be stacked up to 3 times.
- Technique – Grants all allies Stealth for 20 seconds. Characters in Stealth aren’t detected by enemies, and entering battle in that stat recovers 1 Skill Point for all allies.
As a five-star character, it seems like Sparkle can be a total game-changer. While her abilities are interesting, her Ultimate Talent is the most relevant part of her kit. She can work really well with characters that can consume many skill points per turn and can also work great with characters in the Path of The Destruction or The Erudition when they deal AoE damage.
You should, however, take this with a pinch of salt since it wasn’t confirmed by HoYoverse. We’ll make sure to update this section once we have official details on Sparkle’s abilities.

Sparkle leaked Light Cone in Honkai Star Rail
As a five-star Honkai Star Rail character, Sparkle will debut alongside her signature Light Cone. Here’s the leaked description of her five-star Light Cone in HoYoverse’s RPG:
Increases the wearer’s CRIT DMG by 40%. The wearer gains ‘Mask’ at the beginning of battle. While the wearer has ‘Mask,’ all allies have their CRIT Rate increased by 10% and CRIT DMG increased by 24% for 4 turns. Whenever the wearer recovers a Skill Point, they gain a stack of ‘Fireworks.’ When reaching 4 stacks of ‘Fireworks,’ removes all of them to gain Mask.
Players are excited about this leaked Light Cone since it seems very easy to trigger its effects. This can make Sparkle’s Light Cone a very useful one for pretty much any character in the Path of The Harmony. We’ll make sure to update this section once Sparkle’s Light Cone is officially revealed.
