NCSOFT has announced its latest fantasy MMORPG, AION2, which is set to launch on Android and iOS in South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau on November 19, with a global release planned for 2026. A sequel to the 2008 classic AION, this game is now open for pre-registration.
Relive the eternal war between the Celestials and Demons
AION2 is the next chapter in the classic fantasy MMORPG series that first debuted almost two decades ago. It continues the epic storyline between the Celestials and Demons from the original, both fighting endlessly for power and glory.
Here, you can select from eight iconic classes, including marksman, mage, guardians, or supporters, each with unique skills to engage in strategic combat, where you can use evasion and situational combo mechanics. If you love dungeons, this one offers hundreds of them, each with unique gameplay and rules to follow.
Players can explore a massive world that’s bigger than the previous title
However, what excites me the most is the huge map, which is 36 times bigger than the original title, letting us explore various areas via flight, including skies, mountains, deserts, and ancient ruins. And I’m also intrigued by the detailed character customization with 200 options for face, hairstyle, eye color, and more.
Overall, the game does look promising to me, offering iconic classes, a new combat system, dungeons and bosses, stunning visuals, fun mini-games like the Rainbow Road, and more. Another reason to be happy is that NCSOFT has said that they’re targeting the global market by releasing three new titles starting next year, led by this one.
