Show Time packs have been increasing in eFootball 2026, and we have the Trusted Shields pack this time. This gets three strong defensive options with Show Time skills: Alisson Becker, Joško Gvardiol, and Micky van de Ven being the featured cards.
Once again, these cards look awesome, and the numbers are pretty set for a starter. But again, many players might be wondering if they should go for this pack. So here is my verdict on the three.
Alisson Becker
- Position: GK
- Playing Style: Offensive Goalkeeper
- Show Time Skills: Visionary Pass and GK Directing Defense
Best card in the pack, you get a strong offensive GK in Alisson Becker, who also has one of the best player IDs for a keeper in the game. Reflexes, parrying, and reach are top tier, so he rarely spills easy shots. With your own build, all these points go over 95.
With Visionary Pass, he becomes much more than a shot-stopper. His distribution is already sharp for a keeper, and although he might not have his passes reach directly to your striker, that skill is effective to get those counters going.
On top of that, GK Directing Defense works quietly in the background, boosting the positioning of defenders around him, so your backline feels tighter when he’s in goal. There is no weakness with this card, so it is a strong pick indeed.
Joško Gvardiol
- Position: LB
- Playing Style: Offensive Wingback
- Show Time Skills: Fortress and Blitz Curler
Surely a weird card here, not going to lie. Gvardiol has a Blitz Curler skill at LB, and many of the players are confused for sure. Let us drop that aside and review this as a card. Without a doubt, Gvardiol is a tank of a fullback.
He is a quick card here, can easily go over 90s in pace. Blitz Curler on him is interesting; he is left-footed playing on the left, and I’m pretty sure it is a useless skill. He’s not flashy on the ball, but reliable defending and physical strength mean he can tuck into CB as well.
He has a strong player ID, and even the numbers on this card are pretty good. But the skills are kind of all over the place. There isn’t a particular identity for this card, surprisingly, so LMF seems to be a good shout to use him. But he would have been a good DMF with defensive numbers and passing.
Micky van de Ven
- Position: CB
- Playing Style: Destroyer
- Show Time Skill: Long-Reach Tackle
If you know the hype of this card, then you know the eFootball 2026 meta correctly. One of the fastest CBs out there, Van de Ven has received a fantastic card. With 90+ speed and acceleration depending on your build at 193 cm, he covers huge ground, making him one of the fastest CBs in the game.
Those defending numbers are genuinely great, too. His tackling and aggression are what make him a strong card, while Aerially, he is sorted without any worry. Long-Reach Tackle takes that to another level. It lets him stretch out and win the ball cleanly, even when attackers are just out of reach
The downside is his passing and balance, which can be shaky if you’re trying to play out from the back. But if your focus is shutting down counters and hunting down pacey forwards, Van de Ven is a nightmare for attackers.
This pack feels solid defensively, but it doesn’t deliver the kind of excitement that makes you want to spend big. Alisson is the standout thanks to Visionary Pass and his overall reliability, but he’s not miles ahead of his standard versions.
Gvardiol is a good card, but Blitz Curler feels wasted on him. Van de Ven’s Long-Reach Tackle is useful and comes in as a pacy option. In the end, all three cards are dependable but not groundbreaking, so it feels more like a safe defensive pack rather than one with true must-have defenders.
