The 3.9 version update of PUBG Mobile is running in full power, quite literally! Transformers are running all around the map with various new skills and features. In the meantime, PUBG Mobile is here with their brand new 4.0 Beta version. As always, the new 4.0 version has lots of new items and features. This new version is completely based on spooky and paranormal themes and provides an overall horror vibe.
As you can already guess, the 4.0 version update is focusing on spooky stuffs as the Halloween is in the corner. They are introducing these features so that we get to celebrate the festival in style, inside the game. In this article, I will discuss the upcoming new features and classic mode enhancements in PUBG Mobile 4.0 Beta Version Update. The update is set to come on 4th of September.
PUBG Mobile Beta Version 4.0 Update introduces interesting features
The ghostly Magic Mirror Castle welcomes you
The main attraction a.k.a the primary hot-drop of the 4.0 Beta Version’s themed game mode is the Magic Mirror Castle. Can you remember the Dracula’s Castle in the last Halloween update? This time it is giving the same vibe but in a much better way. The whole castle is surrounded by dense bushes and big waterfalls, that will give you enough options to take covers between gunfights. The sky above this castle is coloured in green which also creates a scary atmosphere. The name of the classic themed mode is Spooky Soiree.
Inside the Magic Mirror Castle, you will see various King’s crates and secret chambers. Frim these crates, you will get loots as well as some special abilities. We will talk about this soon. Apart from the loot, you will also get Ghost Cakes and a cute spirit buddy named Ghosty. It will help you in multiple ways during a match, let me explain. If your teammate is knocked-out and you are busy in something else in the game, don’t worry as Ghosty will revive your teammate on behalf of you.
If you need to heal yourself while taking fight, keep that responsibility to Ghosty. It will carefully heal you with consumables using it’s magical mallet. You can also get healed while sprinting or firing weapons thanks to the magical abilities of Ghosty. This new buddy feature will definitely change the course of the game.
Outperform your enemies with the supernatural abilities
In the 4.0 Beta Version, I have encountered with some supernatural entities in the Magic Mirror Castle. This entities will provide you special abilities which are not from this world. By opening the spooky crates, you will get different magical abilities such as the Ghost Balloon or the Magic Shield. At a time, you can carry a total of three main skills and 4-5 secondary skills. You can use duplicate skills to upgrade your existing skills in the backpack.
The Ghost Balloon will allow you to fly for some seconds using your Ghosty buddy. Ghosty will become a large hot-air balloon and take you to the sky. It is a great ability to go to one place from another. Another primary skill is the Magic Shield. Using this feature, your Ghosty will become a rectangular energy shield with 3000 hitpoints. This shield will protect you from enemies’ bullets and grenade damage. You can also move enemies from your way with this shield.
The secondary skills are also very good in the 4.0 Beta Version. One of the skills is the fast running ability. Enabling this will allow to run faster as Ghosty will push you from behind and work as a thruster. You can also get the location of your enemies using one of the secondary skills. However, the latter skill can be used for once with each skill ball.
Event special vehicle: Magic Broom
You cannot get the spooky vibe in a horror game mode without some supernatural transportation powers. This time, we are going to enjoy the brand new Magic Broom in the upcoming version. This vehicle can accommodate two players and can fly at a very good speed. It also has a speed boost feature. Enabling that will generate so much thrust that the pillion might get imbalanced and fall from the broom, so buckle up!
Rock Revue Graveyard is waiting to entertain you
Want to enjoy some otherworldly music? The ghouls got you covered. Head straight to the Rock Revue Graveyard to enjoy the music from the talented ghosts along with other not so alive audiences. Don’t forget to collect the loot after the completion of the concert. You can also call out the ghost artists for singing properly to get some sweet bonus rewards.
Other Collaborations
PUBG Mobile has already teased us by announcing a new anime collaboration, a speediest IP collaboration, and a special collaboration gameplay after the arrival of the new 4.0 version update on their social media handles. Classic Mode Enhancements
The PUBG Mobile 4.0 beta also brings several enhancements to the classic gameplay:
- Beach Carnival in Lipovka: In this new version, we are going to see a revamped look of Lipovka. A new carnival with lots of rides and a giant ferry’s wheel has been installed on the shore-side.
- New weapon- Mortar: The long range battles just got upgraded with the introduction of Mortar. With this new weapon, you can take out enemies who are hiding behind covers in a radius of approximate 200 meters. I believe this addition will make a big impact in the Esports of PUBG Mobile.
- Realistic reloading mechanism: The existing weapon reloading mechanism has become better in the 4.0 Beta Version. Now we will see more realistic animation while reloading which will make the game more interesting.
Visual and Sound enhancements
The visual and sound effects in the 4.0 Beta have been upgraded to match the new features. The spooky items and equipment, detailed animations like creating energy fields and flying using special powers, and character transformations contribute to a more immersive and intense gameplay experience.
However, as this is a beta release, some stages may still lack complete sound effects, which are expected to be refined in the final version. We will update this article once we get more information.
