- eFootball 2025 has arrived with the re-run of the Italian League Guardians Epic pack.
- Epic cards of Paolo Maldini, Lilian Thuram, and Clarence Seedorf are featured in this pack.
eFootball 2025 continues to celebrate legends of the game with another strong Epic pack, but this time, we have a re-run of a mighty pack that has some pretty solid names. Anchored by the legendary Paolo Maldini, Lilian Thuram, and Clarence Seedorf, all the picks are top-tier.
While attacking cards have flooded the game, this is a good refresh, and we get to try out favourite cards. So here I am presenting on how the defensive lineup performs and whether they’re worth the hype in this pack review.
Paolo Maldini
- Position: LB
- Playing Style: Defensive Full-back
- Show Time Skill: Fortress
Maldini is the very definition of a wall on the flank, and with this card, he becomes more lethal. He becomes nearly unshakable in 1v1s, and thanks to his defensive awareness and tackling ability, it often feels like attackers just bounce off him.

He reads the game like few others, stepping into challenges with perfect timing and rarely losing his shape. For a defensive full-back, his speed is excellent, almost touching the 90s range, and he will clear if you are not building him on your own.
His aerial strength also makes him a massive threat when defending crosses or set-pieces, something that makes him unique among full-backs. When you add these traits, there’s no denying this guy is born to be a CB, and he does have an absolutely monster card, going up to 108 as a CB, so you know how to build him.
Lilian Thuram
- Position: RB
- Playing Style: Defensive Full-back
- Show Time Skill: Fortress
Thuram plays like a bulldozer; nothing explains it better. Oh boy, I had a hard time facing players who had him and knew how to use him. A similar playstyle to Maldini, but he’s faster than him and more aggressive in his duels.
With near-maxed-out pace and acceleration, he closes down space instantly. His physical presence is immense, he bodies attackers and still maintains his balance while doing so. He also feels incredibly lively off the ball, always on the move and closing down gaps instinctively.

Thuram does have more defensive brute force and fluidity than Maldini; he is faster while having higher aggression and similar defensive numbers. However, Maldini edges him with on-ball abilities, passing, and a better player ID for a CB. Still, you get a rapid CB, maybe the best in the game.
Still, you don’t need to force him out of position. As a right-back with both speed and strength, he is easily one of the best defensive options in the game. So even as an RB, he will shine, so you can build accordingly.
Clarence Seedorf
- Position: DMF
- Playing Style: Box-to-Box
- Show Time Skill: Phenomenal Pass
When he arrived, he was regarded as the best Box-to-Box player, although Germany Matthaus, for me, held that position, and still there’s a close fight for that top spot. Seedorf completes the pack as the midfield engine, and with the Phenomenal Pass skill, he brings creative vision to a defensive-heavy pack.

Honestly, he’s not your typical DMF; instead, he plays more like a deep-lying playmaker who can defend just as well as he can initiate an attack. His passing range is fantastic, low and lofted balls are both top-tier, with values brushing the mid-90s.
He has brilliant control and dribbling for a DMF, close to the high 80s, and can move through midfield easily. That’s why I would prefer a CMF build, or maybe even an RMF build, to utilize his offensive numbers. A top-tier DMF/CMF mix with this one.
This is one of the strongest defensive packs we’ve seen in eFootball 2025, might be the strongest even. Maldini and Thuram are elite defenders, each with slightly different strengths, while Seedorf surely is a top-tier CMF.
If your squad lacks defensive depth or needs more balance, this is the pack to go for. All three cards are top-tier quality and could easily become long-term starters. Right now, these are the top 3 in their positions, and you wouldn’t want to miss out for sure.
