BetBoom Team wins FISSURE Universe: Episode 4
Recapping on the group stage results, BetBoom is the last team anyone expected to perform well in the playoffs, let alone win FISSURE Universe: Episode 4. Yet, against all odds, BetBoom defeated every opponent they faced, including Team Spirit, the fan favorite. After surpassing Team Spirit, BetBoom went on to beat Team Tidebound and eventually Gaimin Gladiators twice.
Nevertheless, it was a hard-fought battle in each of these matches. For instance, their series versus Team Spirit was a nail-biting one because of how Team Spirit seemingly was able to recuperate from a 20,000 net worth difference. However, ultimately, BetBoom managed to team wipe the latter and quickly destroy their throne without hesitation.
BetBoom displayed their versatile hero pool and playstyle with its diverse drafts, which keeps each game interesting and unpredictable. However, in each round, it’s clear that BetBoom had a clear sense of direction on how they intent to accomplish their objectives.
Grand Finals versus Gaimin Gladiators
When it boils down to the grand finals versus Gaimin Gladiators, BetBoom proved that they were the better team when it comes to execution. Even when Gaimin prioritized strong meta in their drafts, BetBoom still prevailed in FISSURE Universe: Episode 4.
Notably, Danil “gpk” Skutin and Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko were untouchable as BetBoom’s carry players. They dominated their lane efficiently and reached important item timings, such as Battle Fury and Blink Dagger before the 15-minute mark. These items are crucial in initiating smoke ganks and dominating early fights.
The rest of BetBoom played their part well too. In total, BetBoom defeated Gaimin Gladiators in four out of the five matches they encountered.

It shows that the abundance of Dota 2 tournaments in 2025 season is cultivating a challenging environment for teams, albeit at the expense of burnout complaints that Dota 2 players have been experiencing.
