Talk about knowing your order before you get into the restaurant. Here are the dishes you should get from the Desert Festival Chef.
From what we know so far, the game is more of a combat-focused RPG but still very casual and calming, just like Stardew. With the hype on the rise as each day brings us closer to this brand-new adventure, there are hundreds of Stardew features that we absolutely need to see return.

The Traveling Cart
The Joy Of Every Friday
After you fully get into the swing of things, the daily routine in Stardew is such a relaxing experience. One of the best parts of this is on Fridays and Sundays when the Traveling Cart comes to town to sell a bunch of items.
This is a feature that is not only great for a variety of wares, but is also a godsend for completionists, and you can’t not love searching through a random assortment of items and finding a steal of a deal. In Chocolatier, perhaps this cart could come in the form of a ghost who finds lost wares, or it could be the exact same, mysterious shopkeeper and all.

Mod Support
Making Things Even Better
One thing that ConcernedApe has prioritized throughout Stardew’s updates is making sure that the game is easy to create custom content for in the form of modding. This has led to fans creating some of the most customizable and expanded-upon features. From custom portraits to streamlined mechanics, mods have helped to make Stardew shine even brighter over the years.
This is why mod support needs to be in Chocolatier, as it opens the floodgates for longevity of the title and allows fans to create more content for the game. Mods also help add accessibility options, making it so more players can enjoy the game and play it the way they want to.
7
Animals, Pets, And Mounts
Can’t Have A Game Without Them
The world of Stardew has some of the cutest animals that we adore with all of our hearts. Early on in the game, you get to make a new animal buddy in the form of a pet dog or cat, and we cannot get enough of these. You can even own a horse that you can ride as a mount around town at high speeds to get more done in one day than normal, and we need to see all of these return. Animal companions will always make a game a hundred times better.

Fishing is one of the harder things to learn in Stardew Valley, but these tips and tricks will have you reeling them in.
With the more fantasy themed direction Chocolatier is taking, you could expect to see more whimsical animals and pets, such as a ghost dog or cat or perhaps a rideable spider as a mount. ConcernedApe has shown a never-ending well of creativity in his projects, and so we can’t wait to see what spooky wonders he creates in this less grounded-in reality world.

Farming And Foraging
Stardew’s Bread And Butter
While Chocolatier is moving away from being a farming-sim to become a combat heavy shop-sim, we really hope that the beloved mechanics that make Stardew, so special are still present in this game as well. Stardew’s farm mechanics are like no other, they will always be one of the most relaxing things to do when you are stressed.
Perhaps in Chocolatier, we will be able to start a cocco bean farm to gather the resources needed to craft delicious masterpieces. While it won’t be the focus, we would still love to see the deep, refined farming gameplay appearing in some form as a way to put the hours of farming expertise you have built playing Stardew to good use.
5
In-Depth Cooking
Creating More Than Just Chocolate
While Stardew’s cooking wasn’t the most in-depth, we would still love to see it return in its simple-to-understand form in Chocolatier. If expanded upon to allow you to become a true culinary master alongside your sweet treat skills, we could spend hours just crafting dishes of our dreams.
Being a title all about making chocolate means that you will be doing a whole lot of baking, and if this gameplay is as fun as Stardew’s farming and cooking systems are, then we will be more than happy. You probably still have many ideas about what you could use the illustrious Void Mayonnaise for in recipes, and it would be sad to not see iconic ingredients like this also not return.
4
Festivals And Events
Celebrating The Festivities
Since Chocolatier is keeping the calander and season system that we have enjoyed in Stardew, that leaves us wondering what potential festivals and events we may see returning. Thinking about doing the flower dance festival with ghosts fills us with incredible joy, and we need even more wholesome events that all NPCs of any form can partake in.

8 Stardew Valley Events Not On The Calendar
Here are the best events in Stardew Valley that you won’t find in the calendar!
It would be a crime to not include a Valentine’s Day event for us to sell and gift heart-shaped boxes of chocolate. Considering the fantasy focus, we can’t wait to see many occult-themed events as well. We deserve justice for Krobus and his lack of inclusion in Stardew’s festivals and events.
3
Marriage And Children
Tying The Virtual Knot
Relationship building has already been confirmed as a returning feature and so you will be able to make friends with all the enchanted folks. One of the long-term goals of Stardew is to marry one of the many friendly villagers of Pelican Town and then potentially have a child with them. This process is very inclusive as you can marry any of the options, no matter what gender your character is.
Many players have shown great affection towards their virtual partner and our lovesick hearts won’t be able to resist any of the potential love interests in any of ConsernedApe’s works. This is all thanks to Heart Events, which give each character so much personality and allow you to have a heartfelt personal moment with them. These are some of the iconic parts of every character, and we cannot go without them.
2
Multiplayer
Better With Friends
One of the best parts of Stardew is the robust multiplayer options that allow you to play with friends and family from either the same room or across the world. Exploring the detailed world and multitasking your days between multiple friends is super satisfying, and it would be a shame to see Chocolatier shift over to a single-player only experience. Especially with how fun the dungeons would be to explore together.
The only change we want to see is to be able to make the world accessible to all at any time, almost like a server. Currently in Stardew, the person who creates the world has to be online for others to join. With an eight-player farm, this can get quite tedious for the host, and so we would love to see some sort of fix for this if we get the same mechanics in Chocolatier.
The Center Of Stardew’s Success
For those who like progressing via a constant goal or story, the Community Center is your best friend. This is a core mechanic that provides various goals to achieve throughout your playthrough and helps to fix the building and bring the town’s community back together. Chocolatier needs to have something similar, otherwise it may struggle to grip us.

With a haunted castle being the primary set piece for Chocolatier, we could potentially be repairing the place in a similar manner to the Community Center to bring more ghosts of the old residents to return. This would make for a nice way to meet new NPCs and even unlock new stores and facilities, giving even more reasons to complete the tasks you are given.
