Cross-platform games let you connect with players, even if they aren’t on the same device as you. For example, you may team up and complete missions in Warframe with some on Nintendo Switch while you are playing on your PS5. While these games are available on several platforms, they do not all feel equal.

Warframe
Warframe is a free game that even extends to mobile devices. While it’s available in a lot of places, it feels the most natural on PS5. In terms of gameplay, most players note that the only real difference is that if you play on PS5, the loading times may be slightly longer.
Overall, Warframe is free, and you won’t need to purchase PS Plus in order to play with others. The game has an immense amount of content as well; you can literally play 1,000 hours without ever spending a dime, and still somehow have more stuff to complete.
I first played Warframe on the Nintendo Switch; needless to say, it was really buggy. At the time though, there was no option to transfer save files. When the function was added, I left the Nintendo Switch behind and never looked back!

At the time of publication, Monster Hunter Wilds has a ‘mixed’ review on Steam, with a lot of reviews addressing the poor performance. Thankfully, the game seems to run a bit better on the PlayStation 5.

No Man’s Sky
No Man’s Sky looks good on all platforms (if you meet the recommended specs), but if you are worried about it running on your PC, then the PS5 version is phenomenal. Rather than tweaking settings and trying to configure what works best for you, you simply need to launch it and start playing to get the same experience.
It’s also worth noting that quite a cozy survival crafting game. There is something so satisfying about sitting back with your control and exploring the universe around you.

This is another entry that works great on PC, but if you don’t have a good enough computer, then the PS5 version is fantastic. The controls aren’t too strange, and there is really no loss. If PC is out of the question, then you can rest assured knowing that the PlayStation 5 version is just as worthy.

Borderlands 3
Borderlands 3 can be played solo, but thanks to the cross-play system, you can play with those on other consoles, like the Nintendo Switch. While it does run fine on the Switch, this isn’t the best option though. The PS5 version of Borderlands 3 delivers a smooth and comfortable experience.
Overall, Borderlands 3 is a great experience on the PS5. Many people report that, in general, the game generally runs the smoothest on PS5, which is necessary is a fast-paced game like this.

Diablo 4
Last but not least, we have Diablo 4. Though the Diablo franchise has some iconic PC games, it runs shockingly well on PlayStation 5. The game is incredibly well-optimized for controller, which is also a plus. While you can use a controller with PC, there is no denying that a controller and couch can turn this into a cozy experience.
Diablo 4 has cross-progression as well. If you want to really lock in while playing on PC, but then switch to a more casual experience every once in a while, you can do so! Your progress will transfer between PC and PS5, so nothing is lost.
