Over the past couple of weeks, the Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket’s meta has been adjusting to the Triumphant Light expansion and the cards that came with it. Sudowoodo and Fan Rotom cemented their places as the new anti-meta, a range of new cards rose to the surface, and Snorlax and Giratina were slammed as the two worst cards to ever grace the game.

Well, that’s another emblem I’ll never unlock.

A week has passed since we last looked at the TCG Pocket meta, and a lot has changed, with Palkia ex asserting some serious dominance.

Palkia ex in its pocket dimension looks over full-art copies of the Palkia ex, Misty, and Iridia cards.

According to Limitless TCG’s latest data, when sorted by win percentage, Palkia ex decks take up the top two spots and four of the top ten.

A deck focused around Palkia ex and Origin Forme Palkia is currently head and shoulders above the rest, taking the top spot with a 54.97 percent win rate. A solo Palkia deck then takes up the second place spot, with a win rate of 54.67 percent.

Palkia ex and Starmie is the next deck in the top ten, coming in at seventh place, and Palkia ex and Articuno ex round things out in ninth.

While Palkia is the overall victor of the Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket meta at this time, there are some other notable decks. Dialga ex and Arceus ex are third, and Fighting-type decks take up a couple of places as they’re excellent foils to any potential Arceus ex and Dialga ex dominance.

The current meta marks a major departure from last week’s. Although Palkia held four of the top ten spots then, they were much lower in the rankings, and it didn’t even break the top three. Instead, Dialga ex took the top two spots. Dialga has seen its stock fall in the last week, though, due to the rise of Fighting-type decks, going from positions one and two, to positions three and eight.
