The Best Party Setup For Brant In Wuthering Waves

The Best Party Setup For Brant In Wuthering Waves
Views: 0

While playing Wuthering Waves, you can have a total of three characters in your party at a specific time. Having three random characters here might work out in the open world since the enemies are easier, but you’ll need to find synergy between the three team members if you want to beat the endgame modes.

Brant is the only sub-DPS character who can also heal and shield your team, and he’s a great addition to the roster of Wuthering Waves.

This synergy revolves around the intro and outro skills of all characters, which is also the case with Brant. However, he’s one of the most flexible units in the game as you can use him in different play styles depending on the availability of certain members in your account.

Best Brant Team

Main Team

Changli, Brant, Shorekeeper

F2P counterpart

Chixia, Brant, Baizhi

Brant is a Fusion character who excels at quickly building his forte bar once you activate his Liberation and then dealing high damage with his buffed Resonance Skill called Returned from Ashes. Executing this combination is also enough to fill his Concerto Energy, which makes him perfect as a quick-swapping sub-DPS.

Changli was released quite early in the game, but she didn’t have a great team since her Concerto didn’t build fast enough for a sub-DPS, but she didn’t have good supports to be a main DPS. Brant alleviates the latter problem as he can now be the perfect support she needs with his Fusion and Resonance Skill DMG buffs with the outro skill.

While Changli deals a lot of Basic Attack DMG as well, her highest damage comes from the Resonance Skill.

This is mainly because her buffed Heavy Attack is considered as a Resonance Skill.

Finally, Shorekeeper’s job in this team is a support who can buff both characters by providing them ATK, Crit Rate, and Crit DMG. The roles and rotation work similarly in the F2P counterpart for this team as well, but as expected, you’ll deal much less damage since you’re using four-star characters.

  • Wuthering Waves Shorekeeper icon.
  • Your rotation starts with Shorekeeper who will already have her Liberation ready at the start of the battle in any endgame mode. You’d first want to use her Echo Skill, Resonance Skill, Basic Attack, and Heavy Attack to build her Concerto.

Once you have a bit over 3/4th of the Concerto circle filled (can be seen to the left of her HP), you can activate her Resonance Liberation and spam the button to switch to Brant as soon as possible.

  • Wuthering Waves Brant icon.
  • On Brant, you’d want to start with the Resonance Liberation as this gives him a boosted ATK bonus and makes it much easier to build the forte. After that, you need to use his mid-air attacks and Resonance Skill to get a ton of Bravo.

Once your Bravo (forte bar) is filled and you’re nearly 3/4th of his Concerto circle, you can activate his buffed Resonance Skill and instantly switch off as the animation keeps going even when he’s technically off-field.

  • Wuthering Waves Changli icon.
  • Changli will be the last character to appear on the field in the rotation, and she will also take the most time. After activating two outro skills with Shorekeeper’s Liberation, she’ll have all the buffs from both Brant and Shorekeeper.

You now have to trigger as many special heavy attacks as you can with her. This can be done either by using the Liberation to get all four stacks instantly or the Skill stacks.

Time is of the essence in this team because if you miss anything, you won’t be able to switch back to Shorekeeper in time.

Ideally, you’d want to switch back to Shorekeeper in time to activate her special Intro Skill.

Substitute Brant Sub-DPS Team

Wuthering Waves Brant, Shorekeeper, and Carlotta team.

Main Team

Carlotta, Brant, Shorekeeper

Possible Replacement

Jinhsi, Brant, Verina

If you’ve been playing Wuthering Waves for a while, there’s a chance that you don’t have Changli on your account but there are some other phenomenal main DPS characters that you pulled for. If you still want to use Brant as a sub-DPS support without Changli, Carlotta and Jinhsi are your best options.

Both of these characters deal most of their damage as Resonance Skill, which is the stat buffed by Brant. However, you won’t be able to make use of the Fusion DMG Bonus from him. Shorekeeper’s role in this team stays the same as well.

  • Wuthering Waves Carlotta icon.
  • Shorekeeper and Brant’s rotation for this team remains the exact same as the team above since their role is to provide all the buffs to the main DPS as fast as possible. After Brant’s outro is ready, you can switch to Carlotta to execute her combination.

If your forte is half full, you can activate her skill first to fill it, use your heavy attack, and then use the Resonance Liberation. You’ll need quite a lot of Energy Regen on Carlotta to make this rotation efficient.

When you first start the battle, you can use Carlotta’s Resonance Skill before switching to Shorekeeper as it’ll give her a ton of forte bar.

Brant Main DPS Team

Wuthering Waves Brant, Shorekeeper, and Sanhua team.

Main Team

Brant, Sanhua, Shorekeeper

Replacement

Brant, Sanhua, Verina/Baizhi

After reading Brant’s kit and trying him out either in the trial or the open world, you might want to play him as a main DPS since he has some good animations. Thankfully, this is entirely possible, albeit not the most efficient. To use Brant as a main DPS, you’ll first have to make some changes to his build.

While you can still use the Tidebreaking Courage set, you’d want to get as much Crit as possible even if it means that you have to miss out on some Energy Regen. As long as you have the 250 percent ER, you can start focusing on getting more Crit, ATK, and Basic Attack DMG.

Sanhua’s Outro Skill gives him 38 percent Basic Attack DMG, which also helps with this buildup.

Since he’ll be the only one doing damage on the field, you need every hit from him to Crit while having high Crit DMG to go along with it. If you don’t have his signature weapon, Emerald of Genesis works well for this as well. Here’s the rotation you’ll be using:

  • Wuthering Waves Sanhua icon.
  • Once again, Shorekeeper’s role here stays the same except you’ll be switching to Sanhua with her Outro skill instead of Brant. With Sanhua, you can quickly press her Liberation and Resonance Skill with the Intro Skill and then use her Heavy Attack.

If you don’t get your Concerto circle to fill up with this, simply use a couple of Basic Attacks and then use the Impermanence Heron echo skill before switching to Brant.

  • Wuthering Waves Brant icon.
  • With Brant, you’ll still start with your Liberation and do the normal combination until your buffed Resonance Skill. However, you don’t need to switch off right after that as you’ll have plenty of time to repeat this combination once or even twice in some cases.

It’s important to keep a timer in your mind for the Shorekeeper Liberation as you’d want to switch back to her and repeat the cycle as it’s about to run out.

Brant’s main DPS build might not deal the most damage on your account, but it can be great for open-world due to the fast rotation.
