Is Lost Records Set In The Life Is Strange Universe?

We take a look at the universe’s of Life Is Strange and Lost Records and see if there are any connections.

The Riot Grrrl chapter shows the trials and tribulations Swann and the others go through as they try to make their dream come true, even if it means breaking into locked places. Or using their energy to power up their instruments. Or disturbing strangers in a public place. The show must go on, after all.

All Chapter 24 Choices

Choosing your makeup in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

In this chapter, your goal is to find a way to make sure the show happens. You can choose how you’ll proceed with each of the portions of this chapter, with each of them having consequences of their own.

Keep your eyes open for Memoirs, too, as this chapter is your only chance to complete some of them, and they’re quite easy to miss.

Getting Ready

As soon as the chapter starts, one of the girls will do your makeup for the show. The girl you have the best relationship with appears here, and you can have some romantic dialogues with her.

The first thing to do is to choose your makeup. You’ll always have these three choices, no matter which girl is doing it:

Choice

Outcome

Glam! Something dramatic.

Your choice will have consequences.

Grunge! Something badass.

Your choice will have consequences.

Goth! Something dark.

Your choice will have consequences.

After that, the girl gets closer to you, and you’ll have up to five different dialogue choices. Wait until all of them appear before deciding.

Similar to Chapter 15, the dialogue is different with each girl. The first options to appear tend to be negative, while the last ones lead to better outcomes.

With Nora, you have the following choices:

Choice

Outcome

Kiss…

Nora approves.

Your… breath smells… nice!

Nora approves.

Closer…

Neutral

Huh!?

Nora disapproves.

Closer?

Nora disapproves.

As for Kat, your dialogue goes like this:

Choice

Outcome

I like you…

Kat approves.

Kat… I…

Neutral

S-Sorry…

Kat disapproves.

Huh!?

Kat disapproves.

Like what!?

Kat disapproves.

Finally, this is how Autumn reacts:

Choice

Outcome

I like you.

Autumn approves.

Y-you look… so good!

Autumn approves.

Huh!?

Autumn disapproves.

N-no way…

Autumn disapproves.

Your eyes are… um…

Autumn disapproves.

Regardless of what happens, you two get interrupted by the other girls, and you proceed to the next choice. If you pick the wrong choice by accident, you can restart the chapter as it has barely begun.

After that, you get to choose between Chilly Grape (purple), Electric Sea (blue), or Cotton Candy (pink) sprays. These will be the colors for the concert’s lights. Once you choose them, you’ll finally arrive at the bar.

Breaking Into The Bar

The padlocked gate in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

The girls need to get a source of energy for their concert, but they’ll have to open the gate’s padlock first. Staying close to the padlock makes the “The show must go on!” choice appear, but it has no impact on anything.

The Setting The Stage Memoir is available here. To complete it, film anything about the Blue Spruce, such as its logo, the phone booth, the “Open” neon sign, or the “Notice” sign on the stairs. You’ll need a total of seven entries, but there are more than that around here.

You have three options to open the padlock: find the combination, call Dylan, or break your way in. To trigger each of them, you’ll have to interact with certain objects around the parking lot.

The padlock in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

If you want to open the padlock legitimately, investigate Corey’s Bag on the bike in front of the stairs. Interact with the Pager, turn it around, examine the Note, and flip it. You’ll find the combination for the padlock: Up, Right, Left, Up, Down.

You can also find the combination for the lovelock from Chapter 10 here: Dylan and Corey’s anniversary. If you return there later and use the password “0827”, you’ll get the Lovelock achievement.

To convince Dylan to give you the combination instead, interact with the phone booth. Choose “Can we call Dylan about the lock?” and Kat will ask you if you’re sure about it:

Choice

Outcome

Let’s do it!

Kat will call her sister.

Let’s look around some more.

You leave the conversation but can ask her again later.

If you leave the booth and return, the first option changes to “Let’s call Dylan”, but has the same outcome.

Kat calling her sister in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

While speaking with her sister, Kat asks for some backup:

Choice

Outcome

Tell her you lost something.

Kat can’t convince Dylan and won’t get the combination. Your choice will have consequences.

Tell her that there’s a stray cat.

Dylan gives Kat the combination. Your choice will have consequences.

Tell her your Dad’s here.

Their dad’s at home, and Dylan won’t believe Kat. Your choice will have consequences.

If you convince her, interact with the padlock, and Kat will tell you the combination (Up, Right, Left, Up, Down). Input it correctly to open the gate.

Finding the fire extinguisher in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

To force your way in, interact with the Kurt4evr dumpster and examine the cardboard in the right corner.

You’ll find an extinguisher, which you can use to break the padlock open. Touch the Padlock and select the Break option. Swann breaks it and you can go in.

You can skip the whole process and simply input the combination, but no consequences will be seen later.

Regardless of how you’ve entered, half of your job is done. Go through the gate to continue.

Finding A Power Source

Swann breaking in the bar's gate in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

As soon as you go through the gates, interact with the chair to your right to place Moth Girl in it. Film it to get another entry for the Mothgirl Chronicles Memoir.

You can also film the Graffiti above it for the Memoir, if you still need it. With some fresh footage ready, keep heading forward.

After Autumn says that you need an extension cord and an outlet, she mentions going to the library to investigate the abyss. Saying “We should look into local legends” only gives you more dialogue.

Waiting a bit more triggers a dialogue about the girls not sleeping well last night. Saying “I couldn’t sleep either! I was so excited!” gives no approval, again.

The extension cord in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

The cord can be found in the right alley, directly behind the two girls. Once you grab it, enter the small closet to find an outlet. The outlet is below the energy panel, but even after plugging it in, it won’t work immediately.

After Kat tells you to look for another way, wait a bit for some dialogue choices to pop up:

Choice

Outcome

What’s wrong?

Neutral.

We can do this!

Kat approves.

Open the Breaker Panel to see that some fuses are missing. Kat talks about Dylan, and choosing “What does Dylan do here?” gives you more info about her, and opens another choice:

Choice

Outcome

Ew, gross!

Neutral.

That’s sad.

Neutral.

Two fuses are missing. You’ll find one on the ground to the left, and another on the shelf to the right. Grab them and interact with the panel again.

Now you have to turn the energy back on. To do it:

  • Touch the top right fuse;
  • Touch the middle left fuse;
  • Touch the top left fuse;
  • Touch the lower left fuse.

You can get the Light’s Out achievement by turning off all lights instead. To do this, touch the bottom right, bottom left, and middle left fuses in this order.

With the power set, speak with Kat again to get the band stickers, and make your way back to the parking lot.

Setting The Stage

The backside of the bar with two stickers placed in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

Now, you only need to place the Bloom & Rage stickers around. You can place two of them right in front of the gate, above the table and on the white door (next to the graffiti).

But before placing the final two stickers, remember to record the three men looking at the girls in the parking lot. They’re what you need to finish the Strangers Memoir.

You can also approach the girls and place Moth Girl above one of the speakers to get the final Mothgirl Chronicles entry.

The speaker you can place Moth Girl in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

With all said and done, place another sticker on the wooden wall next to the phone and the last one on the phone itself.

Corey comes out and insults you, once again:

Choice

Outcome

Buzz off, asshole.

Corey says you should be back at the playground. Your choices will have consequences.

Shut up! You’re so rude!

Corey calls you a weirdo. Your choices will have consequences.

What does it look like?

Corey says that Kat’s looking for attention. Your choices will have consequences.

The consequences can only be seen in Tape 2. However, this chapter is finally done, so get ready for the climax.
