In the lower bracket finals of VALORANT Masters Bangkok, T1 got their revenge on EDward Gaming. After two years of the VALORANT Champions Tour, T1 has reached the Grand final of an international VALORANT tournament. This is the first time we will see the Korean Super Team take on the team of G2 Esports. In this article, let us look at what happened during the match between EDward Gaming and T1 and what Meteor had to say about this result.

EDward Gaming had two winning streaks in this game. First, they have never lost a best-of-5 series within VALORANT Esports. The second is that they have never lost on the fracture map in 2025. EDward Gaming could keep their Fracture streak alive by winning the map during the series. Sadly, their win streak during a best-of-five series ended at 14-1.
The EDward Gaming team and coach joined the press conference following the match. The players looked sad but not completely broken down. They knew they had given their opponents a good fight in T1.
When the head coach of EDG, Muggle, was asked about why his team lost both the rematches against G2 Esports and T1 during this tournament, he had this to say:
It is primarily dependent on how fast teams adapt their strategy in the game. Also, one will need to remember the type of preparation teams have before the game.
When the Coach of T1, Autumn, was asked about facing G2 Esports in the grand final and how they are good at adapting to teams, he had this to say:
G2 Esports have shown a lot during their matches in this tournament. Both teams are going to adapt to each other quite a bit. Don’t forget that T1 is also a really good team that can adapt on the go. We will analyse them while they will analyse us; of course, we expect them to add something new. I believe my players will adapt to the same.
T1 gets Their Revenge on EDward Gaming
This game had quite a similar note to the match between G2 Esports and EDward Gaming. The goal was to shut down Kangkang. T1 did that quite incredibly during the lower-bracket finals by killing him first in 19 rounds of the match. On the other hand, players like iZu and Meteor showed their immense aim during the game. IZu finished the game with a KDA of 71/46/12, whereas Meteor finished the game with a KDA of 75/60/22.
It is important to note that no team has been able to win against EDward Gaming on Fracture. A major reason for this is ZmjjKK’s playing of Neon. His understanding of using Neon to the best of his ability with her movement-based abilities separates him from the rest.
