How To Obtain The Ancient Shovel

The Ancient Shovel is a meta tool in Roblox’s Dig It that became available after the Volkayno update and replaced even the legendary Meteor Shovel with its effectiveness. However, the Ancient Shovel is the hardest shovel to get, and you will have to dig a lot and complete a bunch of quests to achieve it. Apart from that, you also need to reach a minimum level of 120 and have enough money to buy a shovel whenever you have the opportunity. How To Obtain The Ancient Shovel

You will be able to buy the Ancient Shovel at The Oasis after completing the errands of Oni, the local NPC. But before that, you will have a difficult path to travel, because on the way to The Oasis you will have to cross a bunch of other areas with quests to complete. To explain everything clearly, let’s talk about each of the locations you need to visit and the tasks you need to do there.

Volkayno

The first place you need to visit and where the entrance to the other areas is located is Volkayno. To get there, get in your boat and head towards the island with ‘Volkayno’ above it; there will also be a huge black volcano. When you arrive at the island, enter the cave at the foot of the volcano. There, to open the next area, you will need to get the Molten Key, which will turn on the elevator located on the right side of the cave.

The Molten Key is an Exotic item that you can get after completing the Volkayno collection, including the Isopod mount. So, here, just dig to find all the items from the collection. Use your best shovel and magnets to find the rarest items from the collection faster. Once you get the Molten Key, use it to take the elevator down to Devil’s Pit.

Devil’s Pit

Devil’s Pit is a second, much larger location than the previous one, with lava cliffs, red and burgundy coloring, and a gloomy interior. Here, you will also need to get a key to enter the next area. The Ancient Key, like the Molten Key, can be obtained by gathering all the items from a collection, in this case the Devil’s Pit collection.

In addition, in Devil’s Pit, you will need to provide yourself with such a consumable as Power Resistance Potion, as further traveling without it is impossible, because the surrounding temperature will just kill you.

It is recommended to stock up on several of these potions, as you will need them for protection until you find the Ancient Shovel.

To get the Power Resistance Potion, you need to talk to the Brewton NPC who stands near the cauldron at the beginning of the Devil’s Pit area and bring him the following ingredients:

Lava Flower x1
Crystal x1
Lava Slime x1
Lava Bucket x1

All of these can be dug up in the Devil’s Pit area. After collecting all the ingredients, talk to Brewton again, and he will give you the Power Resistance Potion. Then, you can find it in your inventory and use it to gain immunity to heat. One potion lasts for 30 minutes, but since you need to travel to another area, it’s recommended to take several of them with you. Once you’re stocked up on potions and have the Ancient Key, go to the end of the Devil’s Pit area to open the gate to the Ancient Trial.

Ancient Trial

Ancient Trial is probably the easiest area of all, because you don’t have to search or dig for anything. Instead, you will have to move around a bit, as the entire area is a parkour with various obstacles. It’s not difficult to complete and will take just a few tries if you’ve had experience with similar challenges before. At the end of this obby, you will find a passage to the final area, The Oasis, where the last quest and the Ancient Shovel are waiting for you.

The Oasis

The Oasis area is a small island in the center of which you will find the long-awaited Ancient Shovel. But you can’t just approach and take it. Instead, you will first need to complete the last quest by Oni, and only after that you can purchase the shovel, of course, if you have reached the required level.

Moreover, before you can start a quest, you will need to complete The Oasis collection, which is a prerequisite. Once you’ve done that, talk to the Oni NPC, which is located right next to the Ancient Shovel. He will give you the last task, the essence of which is to find and bring him 20 Holy Treasures. Holy Treasures are any dug up items with the Holy effect. You can get them by digging using the Solar Shovel, which implements this effect.
