On the other hand, T1 has been quite the dark horse during this event. During the VCT Pacific Kickoff this year, they finished 2nd after losing to DRX. In our predictions for the Swiss stage, we had put them as one of the teams to get knocked out. Instead, they defeated DRX in a clean sweep scoreline of 2-0. Many considered G2 Esports the favorite to win this tournament due to their incredible run during the VCT Americas Kickoff. However, in a shocking turn of events, they lost their second game against EDward Gaming. In the last match, they demolished G2 Esports, securing qualification for the playoffs.

The duelist has been on quite a run of form this tournament. Against DRX, he looked unstoppable. At one moment, it felt like DRX just tried to avoid any duels with him. He became the first player to get 2000 international kills within VALORANT Esports.
On the other hand, EDward Gaming has two players who have been in top-notch form. They are ZmjjKK and Chichoo. We already know about ZmjjKK and his incredible aim and game sense within VALORANT, but Chichoo has been on a different level. This tournament, he has become the anchor for his team, getting multiple 3K and 4K during matches to secure the round win. Unless Chichoo is taken down, EDward Gaming can still win the game.
The old core of DRX in buZz and stax have made this tournament a place to prove their point. Since the event’s start, they have been on quite a flared-up run of form. This can be seen in their celebrations after winning rounds. BuZz has made it a point in many games to ensure his enemies cannot predict where he might kill them next.
