We’re in the midst of a new Fortnite season, but one of the most exciting new events is starting up soon. Fortnite X Cowboy Bebop, a fun crossover with one of the most legendary anime series. When does the Space Cowboy arrive in the game and what can we expect from this new crossover?
When the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 patch notes got updated, they included a few new features coming with Fortnite X Cowboy Bebop. But it wasn’t part of the game from the off. It’s not included in the current Battle Pass, but a special collab coming to the item shop. It’s going to be launching in the next few days and it’s even coming with a chance to unlock something for free:

Fortnite X Cowboy Bebop Release Date
Since the season got announced, we’ve known this new collection of skins was coming. But when exactly will it hit the game proper? Fortnite X Cowboy Bebop is due to start February 28th. That’s when it’s coming to the item shop!
Logging in on that date, you’ll find the new skins in the item shop. Ahead of time, we know the main characters Spike and Faye Valentine are both going to be released. However, we’re expecting a few other cosmetics to be included too. Including a special wrap which you can unlock for free! That one is done through some quests in the coming weeks. If you want one of the Fortnite anime skins though, you’ll need to go through the item shop.
The Cowboy Bebop Fortnite collab will be a highlight of the season. It’s all coming to the Shop too, so it won’t be locked out in the Battle Pass for future players.
What’s Coming?
With the Fortnite X Cowboy Bebop collab, we’re expecting to get some major additions. The most exciting part is the new skins. These collabs do sometimes end up in Battle Royale too, as NPCs, items, or something different. However, we only know about the skins coming to the game at the moment. We’ll have to see if anything else arrives in the next Fortnite update too.
