With the second phase of the Lunar Oracle event already live in Once Human, collecting Rubies is essential to making progress on the Crimson Moon reward track. However, you might have noticed that this rare material is earned at a much slower pace than anything else, even though the sources are literally everything on the map.

While killing the deviations and mutated creatures still remains the best way to earn Rubies fast, it is not the only way, especially for players who are in the first few days of a scenario at a lower level. Some of these methods are one-offs, but some others can be repeated unlimited times.
Farm Rift Anchors Without Completing Them
One of the best ways to earn Rubies is to find Rift Anchors with a mass number of normal enemies and keep coming back to them without finishing off all the tasks in the stronghold or activating the Rift. This way, the normal enemies will keep respawning every time the player returns after a re-log.
The best Rift Anchor to farm in the Way of the Winter scenario is Wish Land – West, located in the Vena Fjord region. If you go inside from the southern gate and continue towards the north, you will reach a staircase with around 20 zombies spawned next to each other. Further inside the Wish Land, there are even more mutated creatures to kill. So, considering normal enemies only, every time the player farms this Rift Anchor, they can earn over 50 Rubies, knowing that sometimes each dead enemy drops 2 Rubies instead of 1.
For other scenarios like Evolution’s Call or Manibus, there are also big Rift Anchors such as Dayton Hospital (5817, -4501) or Monolith of Greed (6002, -4803) in the Dayton Wetlands region, which is an entry-level area.
Follow The Mutated Bus
The mutated bus always travels a single path back and forth. In between its travels, the bus stops multiple times, and every time it does, it spawns six mutated creatures around it. This method of getting Rubies quickly in Once Human, of course, is not as fruitful as Rift Anchor farming, but it does not require a re-log after each attempt, which is a plus.
Also, in between the bus stops, players can gather other kinds of resources, and there is a small chance that Rubies could be among said resources, too.
Spawn Enemies During Lunacy
This method is mostly recommended for higher-level players who already have the gear and resources needed to increase their Sanity during Lunacy hours. Travel to a high-level region in your scenario during Lunacy and start chopping down a tree or mining a rock. This will cause some enemies to spawn around, including an elite one.
After killing the enemies, you have two options. Either travel to another location in the region and do the same to spawn enemies again, which is a bit time-consuming, or re-log and chop down another tree in the same location to force a respawn for the enemies.
This is the most fruitful way of obtaining Rubies in Once Human, especially since elite enemies drop more Rubies. However, it will not work as efficiently in lower level regions.
