The much-anticipated and highly rumored Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 remake has now appeared on a Singapore ratings board. Activision is set to reveal a new THPS game in just a few days, and this classification could suggest that the 3+4 remake is what we’ll get a glimpse of. Tony Hawk himself said a few years ago that a 3+4 remake was canned, but all signs now point to the game coming back.
Ever since Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 came out, I’ve been eagerly waiting for a follow-up. THPS 4 is the first game in the series I ever played, and remains a strong favorite. Whether balancing along College’s sky-high cable or chaining together the S-K-A-T-E letters in Alcatraz, I spent a lot of my youth in front of a CRT while listening to Goldfinger and Less Than Jake in the skateboard game.
Sadly, back in 2022, we learned from Hawk himself that a 3+4 remaster was planned, but eventually got scrapped. The skateboarder said it was always the plan to make the sequel, but Vicarious Visions’ merger into Blizzard put an end to it. Now, in 2025, a pro skater seemed to leak that a new Tony Hawk’s remaster was on the cards. Then an official countdown appeared. Finally, we have a rating.
Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) has a new media classification page for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 (via Gematsu), lending credence to the idea that the imminent reveal is for this follow-up. The publisher/developer is listed as Activision, the game is approved, and the release year is currently listed as 2025.
The Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater website countdown is currently running until Tuesday March 4, when we’ll learn more about what’s coming.
