The LAS-17 is an extremely powerful primary weapon that is capable of penetrating any armor type, making it useful against any of the enemy factions. There is a short charge up before it begins to fire and is displayed as a bar visible on the side of the weapon. Should the weapon reach roughly a quarter of the heat generated, you will begin to receive damage so long as you keep firing.

To counteract the damage taken from the overheating, it’s advised to bring equipment to reduce said damage.
