In this guide, we are going to take a look at how you can obtain Fizzy Crystals, as well as what they do. These cannot be obtained through exploration; you will first need to complete a quest for Pompompurin, so we’ll also take a look at how to do this for the first time.

Prerequisites To Finding Fizzy Crystals
First, let’s go over a brief overview for getting your hands on Fizzy Crystals. Below, you can find the basic steps that you need to complete.
Overall, this isn’t the most amount of requirements, and a friendship level of four is relatively small. As such, you should be able to get the ore, repair the machine, and start making sodas in no time.
Where To Find Pompompurin
Pompompurin is found on the northmost island. Here, you can find him, as well as Pekkle. Navigating here for the first time can be a bit difficult, but you don’t need any special equipment to reach this area.
Pompompurin is found inside the building near his icon; his actual icon will be a bit misplaced on the map, but just enter the building that looks like a ship; inside, you will find Pompompurin in his ice cream shop.
Before setting out to get Fizzy Crystals, you will first need to raise your friendship with Pompompurin to four; this can easily be done by giving him desserts or milk. Here at TheGamer, we gave him Coral Milk to increase friendship, which is found underwater near Hangyodon.
Once you reach level four friendship with Pompompurin, you’ll be able to complete the quest Dessert-ed Boat, which tasks you with gathering six Fizzy Ore.
How To Get Fizzy Ore
From here, Pompompurin will direct you to the Crystal Caves, which is marked with a little pudding icon on the map. Navigate here, and then enter the caves. At this point, you can hop in a mine cart, which will move along the track near the ore.
By pressing the hand, you can collect the ore. It’s fairly simple, as you just need to repeatedly tap the hand icon, as well as choose which direction on the track you want to go (when given the choice). You only need six Fizzy Ore, but it’s possible to gather a lot more.
If you need more Fizzy Ore in the future, you can return to this cave and ride the mine cart again.
How To Make Fizzy Crystals
At this point, Pompompurin will realize that he actually needs the crystals, not just the ore. This portion of the quest is simple; head to Chococat, speak with him, and then head back to Gemstone Town where he will set up a new crafting table.
Once set up, you’ll be able to make one Fizzy Crystal with six Fizzy Ore. To complete the quest, head back to Pompompurin, who will then let you make ice cream whenever you have enough materials. Now, you’ll be able to make Fizzy Crystals whenever you want!
What To Do With Fizzy Crystals
By heading right from the mailbox in Gemstone Town, you can also find the crafting station for making soda, which requires one Fizzy Crystal to make. This is the main use for Fizzy Crystals.
Thankfully, you can gather quite a lot of ore at the same time and turn it into a lot of Fizzy Crystal, so you can make several sodas before heading back into the cave again.
When you unlock the crafting plan to make your own Soda Machine (at friendship level 12 with Pekkle), you can make it with ten Ingot, five Sparks, and 100 Fizzy Crystals. This is a lot, so you may need to collect them for several days.
This crafted Soda Machine can be placed in any cabin, allowing you to make Soda elsewhere.
