Chapter 6, Season 2 has arrived in Fortnite, and added to the map is a way to mine for gold! Mining gold ore veins will not only give you the gold rush effect, but will also drop a stack of gold bars that you can use to purchase items from NPCs, vending machines, and mod benches.

Additionally, one of the Kickstart quests for this season requires you to either mine a gold vein or swim in the gold river to gain the Gold Rush effect. In the guide below, we’ll go over where you an find the Gold Veins to mine.
Every Gold Vein Location In Fortnite: Chapter 6, Season 2
The western side of Fortnite Island has been taken over by gold all throughout the mountains, the river, and in the surrounding POIs.
Everything in this area of the map is covered in gold, but in certain spots you’ll find clusters of golden rocks. These are Gold Veins, and you hit them with your pickaxe to get both the Gold Rush effect and some gold bars.
There are at least five locations where you should find some Gold Veins to mine:
- On the eastern side of the mountain is a road running parallel to the Gold River. There are Gold Veins dotted all the way down this road.
- If you travel south down that road, then turn east, you’ll be at the entrance to Crime City. At the entrance are more Gold Veins.
- Further south, the road cuts through the Gold River. On either side of the river there are some Gold Veins.
- On the eastern side of Outlaw Oasis are two small ponds. Between those, near some of the hills, are a couple of Gold Veins.
- And finally, northwest of Shiny Shafts, where the Gold River ends in a waterfall, there should be a few more Gold Veins.
