This article contains spoilers for Dragon Ball Daima Episode 19.

Summary

  • SSJ4 transformation confirmed as canon in Dragon Ball Daima, sparking fan speculation.
  • Goku reaches his limits and unlocks SSJ4 power without magic or tail in Episode 19.
  • Dragon Ball Daima will conclude with Episode 20 airing on February 28, no sequel planned.

Dragon Ball Daima will end in just a week, but has kept many surprises for the last moments of the story. Last week, Goku turned into Super Saiyan 4, and the episode trended on social media.

As many fans don’t consider Dragon Ball GT canon and since SSJ4 isn’t featured in Dragon Ball Super, the anime officially confirmed that this is a canon transformation. However, some are now wondering why the SSJ4 form is not featured in Super yet – unfortunately, that seems to remain to be explained. It’s possible that the show will not bother giving an excuse, though.

Here’s everything you need to know about where and when to watch the next episode of Dragon Ball DAIMA.

Goku and the Others Are Adults Once Again

He Unlocked All His Powers While Battling Gomah

As expected, the characters returned to their adult forms in Episode 19. While they are back to normal, they are still not fighting with all their powers, but that didn’t prevent Goku from once again trying to reach his limits.

The last episode suggested that Goku would turn into SSJ4 again in this episode, and that truly happened. During the fight against Goku, he once again unlocked his SSJ4 power, but now as an adult.

This time, he didn’t need extra magic – and, apparently, he also didn’t need any tail, a condition that some fans speculated that might be necessary for the transformation. If this debunks the theory, it also strengthens the possibility that SSJ4 Gogeta will make an appearance in the next episode.

A few scenes of the episode were shared on the official Dragon Ball Super account (which has consistently shared Daima content despite its name):

When Will Dragon Ball Daima End?

Episode 20 is set to be the final episode of the show. It is scheduled to air next week, on February 28. Fans are expecting high-quality animation, as already featured in this episode, and peak action during the final moments of the battle. Unfortunately, for now, it seems there is no sequel planned for the series.

Toei recently dropped a digest video for the series (up to Episode 18), in preparation for the finale. So fans, and even people who haven’t watched the series, can remember (or learn) the main events before the anime ends:

As of the time of writing, Dragon Ball Daima Episode 19 only aired in Japan. It is yet to debut on Crunchyroll and Hulu in a few hours. It will be added to Netflix and other services next week.
