Unfortunately, they failed to figure out that Hwang In-ho was playing both sides all along, trusting him with a critical task that could’ve led to their rebellion becoming a success. Instead, they were forced to surrender, and Jung-bae was brutally killed in front of Gi-hun as a form of punishment.
