Age Of Darkness: Final Stand is the kind of game that you can come back to over and over, and hopefully do a little better with each attempt. Luckily, its Achievements are designed to reward that sort of repetitive gameplay, with most of them encouraging you to just keep trying until you succeed.

There are, of course, a number of truly challenging Achievements thrown into the mix to test your skills, so if you want to add Age Of Darkness to your list of completed games you’ll need to truly master the art of standing firm against the Veil.

Campaign Achievements

These are probably the simplest Achievements in Age Of Darkness to unlock. All you have to do is progress the story campaign and learn how each of the playable Heroes factor into the war against the Veil.

Survival Achievements

These Achievements are awarded for winning games of Survival Mode. It’s easier said than done, even on lower difficulty settings, so take each of these as a badge of honor if you earn them!

Courageous Stand	Win a game of Survival on Normal difficulty.
Armed Defiance	Win a game of Survival on Veteran difficulty.
Rage Against The Night	Win a game of Survival on Horrific difficulty.
Nightmare King	Win a game of Survival on Nightmare difficulty.
Knight Of The Order	Win as Edwin on Veteran difficulty or higher.
A Round For All	Win as Merek on Veteran difficulty or higher.
Hail To The Queen	Win as Aelis on Veteran difficulty or higher.
Fight In The Shade	Win as Cyrus on Veteran difficulty or higher.
Corpse Grasp	Win as Vizargo on Veteran difficulty or higher.
Daughter Of Gloom	Win as Aurelia on Veteran difficulty or higher.
What Does This Do?	Win with at least one Hardship.
Give Me More!	Win with the maximum number of Hardships.

Hardships are extra challenges that can be added at the start of a new run, unlocked by winning games.

Vanquisher Of The Veil Achievements

1	Win with 250,000 points from Score Multiplier

4	Win with 2,000,000 points from Score Multiplier.
5	Win with 4,000,000 points from Score Multiplier.
6	Win with 6,000,000 points from Score Multiplier.

Your Score Multiplier increases with the difficulty setting.

Veil Champion Achievements

Tier	Requirement
1	Kill an Elite Nightmare.
2	Kill every Elite Nightmare on the map in Survival.

Elite Nightmares are extremely powerful versions of regular Nightmares, who only appear at night. Beware of the Elite Crusher!

Warden Of The Dawn Achievements

The higher tiers of this Achievement series are heinously difficult, and at the time of this writing have a 0% unlock rate on Steam; the text of the Achievement doesn’t mention this, but you need to survive the required number of Death Nights consecutively, across multiple Survival runs. If you’re going to try and grind these Achievements out, you’d best do it on Easy – you don’t want to fail on your 499th Death Night, after all.

Miscellaneous Achievements

These three Achievements don’t fall into any of the above categories, but will still pose quite a challenge.

Dark Crystal Achievements

Pre-Emptive Strike is awarded for destroying a Dark Crystal before it shatters naturally in a game of Survival. This grants a large drop of Dark Essence, but triggers an immediate Death Night countdown.
Lash Out is awarded for destroying every Dark Crystal in a single game before they shatter. You’ll need to be very aggressive and take risks to make it happen; consider playing on Easy, as the early Death Nights might make it non-viable on higher difficulties.
