Not all Item Bases are equally valuable in Path of Exile 2. There are some Item Bases, like Stellar Amulets, Sapphire Rings, Heavy Belts, etc. that are highly sought-after in both the SSF and the Trade League. This is because these Item Bases can potentially be converted into T0 Uniques like Astramentis, Dream Fragment, and Headhunter via Orb of Chance gambling.

Out of these, Astramentis is the most popular, making Stellar Amulets very valuable. This guide will go over everything you need to know about Stellar Amulets, using the Orb of Chance, and the odds of getting an Astramentis.
What Are Stellar Amulets?
There are several Amulet Bases in Path of Exile 2, each one with a unique Implicit e.g. Intelligence, Maximum Life, Increased Mana Regeneration Rate, etc. Stellar Amulet provides All Attributes, making it an ideal base for crafting. However, the main reason it is highly sought–after is because of the 
Orb of Chance
gambling.
It is important to note that the Orb of Chance only works on a Normal–rarity item – Corruption does not matter.
And since Path of Exile 2 does not have the Orb of Scouring, you cannot convert a Magic/Rare item into a Normal item.
If you are buying Stellar Amulets for gambling, be sure to get the White (Normal) ones.
How To Get Stellar Amulets?
You can easily buy Stellar Amulets from the Trade Website. Simply enter the term, Item Rarity as Normal, set the Buyout Price as 
Exalted Orb
, and hit search. Since it is a player-driven economy, the price is always fluctuating – supply and demand. If you need them in bulk, you can always ask the seller if they have more in stock.
Another way to bulk–buy is to use a third–party Trading Discord like The Forbidden Trove. You should also note that sellers will charge you a premium for being time-efficient.
Unless you are buying 100s Stellar Amulets, we recommend using the official Trade Website since it is much cheaper.
If you are in Solo Self-Found, you cannot
target–farm Stellar Amulets. Just keep on running Waystones, and you will begin stacking them up. Even if you are in the Trade League, farming them, and then bulk-selling them on a Trade Discord can net you a good amount of

Orb Of Chance Gamble
When you use the Orb of Chance
on a Normal item, you will get one of these outcomes:
- It is converted into a Magic item.
- It is converted into a Rare item.
- It is converted into a Unique item.
- It is completely destroyed.
There are two possible Unique Amulets you can obtain:

Fixation of Yix

Astramentis
Fixation of Yix has a pretty high weightage, but it is less desirable. Astramentis has ridiculously low weightage, but it is much more sought-after.
Unless you are extremely lucky, the odds of hitting an Astramentis with an Orb of Chance are ridiculously low. We have seen people not get a single Astramentis by hitting an entire Quad Tab of Stellar Amulets. It is just plain RNG at the end of the day.
For an average player, we recommend selling your Stellar Amulets (Normal) instead of gambling them away. But if you do not care about losing a few hundred Exalted Orbs, then feel free to gamble.
