Clash Royale decided to give us the first ever Card Evolution that arrived in the game, Barbarians, for free this Valentine. I’ve noticed this evolution is something not many consider as their first, but in my experience there are some amazing decks one can make use of in their battles. So here’s my Clash Royale guide to share with you the best Barbarians Evolution decks you should try out.
Best Barbarians Evolution decks to use in Clash Royale
The Barbarian was one of the first cards to get an evolution in the game, and it has one of the strongest abilities. With each successful hit, its attack speed and movement speed increase. This effect keeps stacking without any limit. With a single cycle, it does come across as a value card.
Thinking of the best ways to make use of this ability, let me share my list of the best decks to use for the game.
1. Barbarians, Skeleton King, Rune Giant, Graveyard, Sparky, Zappies, Hunter, Arrows
Average Elixir Cost: 4.4
The Barbarians’ evolution work well with Skeleton King and his ability, helping you protect the evolution cards. Rune Giant plays a key support and mini-tank role, buffing nearby troops which makes units like Hunter and Zappies even more dangerous. Graveyard serves as a surprise win condition, overwhelming opponents when paired with a tank.
Sparky helps counter tanks, while Arrows clear swarms. This deck shines in double elixir, where Rune Giant can keep buffing support units while Skeleton King and Graveyard apply pressure. It struggles against heavy spell decks, so careful placement is key but with enough backups you’ll be fine. You can copy the deck here.
2. Barbarians, Lavahound, Balloon, Tombstone, Mega Minion, Skeleton Dragons, Zap, Fireball
Average Elixir Cost: 4.1
With a little bit of fun in the air, I tried out this LavaLoon deck after a long time, and it worked pretty well. I think your offense is obvious, the Lava Hound serves as the main tank, soaking up damage while the Balloon moves in to deal damage to towers.
Barbarians provide a strong ground defense, as Tombstone helps with the cycle and distracts enemy tanks, and Mega Minion and Skeleton Dragons offer air support. Zap and Fireball clear swarms and weaken enemy defenses, making it easier for the Balloon to reach its target. Try out this deck by copying it here.
3. Barbarians, Elixir Golem, Musketeer, Arrows, The Log, Night Witch, Firecracker, Inferno Dragon
Average Elixir Cost: 3.5
On the cheaper side compared to the first two, I did pinch a couple of sneaky wins in ladder with this combination. Elixir Golem is the main win condition, this deck relies on supporting troops to make each push dangerous. Night Witch does that task for you, spawn to swarm strategy.
I can suggest you go for any Witch card here, depending on what you prefer. Musketeer and Firecracker are here provide steady chip damage from a distance. Arrows and The Log keep swarms and cheap distractions in check. You can copy the deck here.
That’s all for my best deck guide for the Barbarians Evolution in Clash Royale. If you have any other deck recommendations, please leave them in the comments. Until then, read other related Clash Royale articles:
