Borderlands: Game of the Year Enhanced and three other award-winning shooters have dropped to either their lowest-ever or historically low prices on Steam. As a result, each of them is presently available at under $3, although Steam users don’t have long to take advantage of most of these deals.
Borderlands: Game of the Year Enhanced is a remastered edition of the first entry in Gearbox’s popular looter shooter franchise. It was released for PC and consoles in April 2019, half a year ahead of the original game’s 10th anniversary. And while the remaster has seen frequent discounts ever since, it wasn’t until the Steam Winter Sale in December 2024 that it dropped to $2.99 for the first time ever.

This deal has now returned on February 6, with publisher 2K once again discounting Borderlands: GOTY Enhanced by 90%, matching its lowest-ever price. The discount went live just as Gearbox started giving away yet another Shift promo code for the Borderlands series, netting players three golden keys in each of the five supported games from the franchise, including Borderlands: GOTY Enhanced. Three more award-winning shooters—Battlefield 1 Revolution, Battlefield 4: Premium Edition and Titanfall 2: Ultimate Edition—have also dropped to extremely low prices on Steam in early February 2025.
Current Steam Deals on Award-Winning Shooters
In the case of Battlefield 4, publisher Electronic Arts treated its highest-tier edition to a generous 95% discount, bringing its price to $1.99. This is the first time ever that the winner of the Outstanding Platform Action/Adventure Game accolade at the 18th Satellite Awards is available for under $2, with its prior best price amounting to $2.79. The same goes for the Revolution edition of Battlefield 1, which is also presently available for $1.99.
Meanwhile, the Ultimate Edition of the second mainline Titanfall game can currently be picked up at 90% off, or $2.99. This is a historically low price for Respawn Entertainment’s 2016 shooter that was originally offered in January 2023 and seven more times over the following two years, including this ongoing deal.
These generous discounts on Battlefield 1 Revolution, Battlefield 4: Premium Edition and Titanfall 2: Ultimate Edition are all weekend deals, with Steam users hence having until February 10 to take advantage of them. Meanwhile, 2K’s Borderlands: GOTY Enhanced sale will be available on Valve’s storefront until February 20. Any one of these four deals is a great opportunity for fans of intense first-person shooters to play some of the most acclaimed examples of the FPS genre without breaking the bank.
