This isometric RPG really highlights the studio’s best characteristic – the dialogue writing. The party-based combat and narrative are solid, and both of the entries in the series are great.

Pentiment shares a lot of DNA with Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, namely being based on real history and being grounded in reality. Obsidian’s 2D RPG is meticulously researched and detailed. Featuring no voice acting, the writing and roleplaying elements are the most compelling part of the game.

There are a lot of historical figures that you can interact with which really immerses you in that era, and all of its positives and negatives. The game can even be considered a bit of an educational experience.

Oblivion takes place in the lush greenery of the province of Cyrodiil. It lets you loose in a vast open world with plenty of interesting characters and side quests, much like Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

The orchestral music is stellar and makes the game even more immersive. While the game may have aged a bit graphically, the art direction and gameplay mechanics hold up really well.

It’s set in the Wild West-inspired post-apocalyptic world of The Mojave Wasteland, and you play as a courier on a revenge quest. You come across various factions and towns, and your choices have an impact on the game’s in-depth reputation system, much like with Kingdom Come. You won’t find as many swords here, but the guns can often be just as clunky as Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s.
