Herb Paris locations are hard to find in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
However, reaching him won’t be an easy task, as obstacles stand in your way. This guide will help you navigate the castle, reach Thomas, and ultimately find a way to save him from his dire situation. Follow these steps to ensure you complete this crucial part of the story.
How To Reach Captain Thomas
After hauling the sacks to the charcoal shed, you will have the opportunity to speak with the blacksmith, who is located directly opposite the shed.
When you talk to him, he will ask you to craft a horseshoe and will grant you access to the blacksmith’s area just across from where you are.
While you do not have to craft the horseshoe, you can rob the shelf to obtain a lockpick, which will be useful later on.
From the blacksmith’s table, look to your left and make your way up the stairs to the entrance. Ahead of you, you will find two doors; choose the one on the right.
This area is considered off-limits, so proceed with caution as you navigate.
Once inside, climb the stairs, then open the green door on your left. Continue down the hallway to the end, where you will exit the room, leading you to another set of stairs.
Be cautious, as you may encounter a guard nearby.
Ascend the stairs while crouched, as there will be another guard blocking your path. This guard doesn’t move, so your best option is to lure him away from the stairs by throwing a rock.
If you succeed, quickly head up the stairs and continue climbing until you reach the upper room.
Inside, you will find Thomas and his sister. Adela, his sister, will express her concerns about Thomas’ sickness and ask for your help.
How To Cure Captain Thomas
Before attempting to cure Thomas, you need to figure out which medicine he requires. To do so, leave the building and head back to the blacksmith area.
On the opposite side, you will find a door underneath the stairs. Enter and grab a few trout sitting next to a basket because you will need these shortly.
Exit and climb the stairs to the upper floor, where you will encounter a guard. Don’t worry – he’s just hungry and wants to eat. Interact with him and offer the dried trout you just picked.
Doing this will allow you to move more freely through the upper floor, as this area is also considered trespassing.
Climb the stairs until you reach the stone hallway, being cautious of the guard patrolling.
Continue up another set of stairs and open the door, leading to a small hallway with two doors. Choose the one on the right.
Inside, you will find an alchemist’s bench and a lady. Speak to her, and after the conversation, you will find a chest.
Use the lockpick you obtained earlier to open it. This is an easy lock, so it should pose no problem.
From the chest, be sure to collect these three items: Feverfew, Elderberry Leaves, and Ginger.
Before you start brewing the potion, pick up the book on the shelf and flip through the pages. It will tell you that you need a fever tonic to cure Thomas.
At the alchemist’s bench, follow these steps:Open your inventory and place the three ingredients – Feverfew, Elderberry Leaves, and Ginger – onto the bench.
- Pick up the wine from the top left shelf and pour it into the cauldron.
- Take three handfuls of Feverfew and add them to the cauldron. Then, move the cauldron down and boil it for two turns.
- Next, move the cauldron back up and take one handful of Elderberry Leaves. Grind them using the pestle on the mortar, then add them to the cauldron.
- Add two handfuls of Ginger to the cauldron.
- Finally, take the phial from the bottom left side of the bench and pour the potion into it. If done correctly, you will have the Fever Tonicum.
With the tonic in hand, return to the room where Thomas is, and a cutscene will play, marking his rescue.
