Summary
- Modern-day Giants are powerful, but the Ancient Giants were even bigger and stronger, like Oars, who could supposedly pull continents.
- Descendants of the Ancient Giants, like Little Oars Jr. and the Elbaf Royal Family, inherit their size and ferocity.
- The Elbaf Giant bloodline includes King Harald, Loki, and Hajrudin, who are larger and carry distinctive horns.
Although the arc has just begun, Elbaf has already shown the Giants as an incredibly powerful fighting force that’s going to be essential in One Piece’s Final War against Imu and their forces. Though jovial, these people are absolutely massive, which shows that even the weakest among their ranks is far stronger than the average person in the world, especially considering that they don’t necessarily even need Haki to be formidable.
However, even among them, there are those who are far larger and even more powerful than their contemporaries. These are the modern-day descendants of the Ancient Giants, who were far bigger than all of their modern counterparts on Elbaf and other islands, so let’s take a look at these incredible warriors and see the support that they are sure to provide the Straw Hats in the Final War of One Piece.

Every single Giant who has ever been shown in One Piece has, unsurprisingly, been massive. Their legendary size and strength are one of the main reasons why the country of Elbaf has never fallen under the control of the World Government. However, as huge as the giants of the modern-day undoubtedly are, they are far eclipsed by their ancient ancestors.
Not a lot is known about the Ancient Giants, only the fact that they are much larger and stronger than even the regular Giants of today. The most well-known of these is Oars, a feral and deadly beast who was so powerful that he was called the ‘Continent Puller’, which hints at the greatest feat of strength in all of One Piece, since he was able to pull entire continents from their designated locations. He died around 500 years before the start of the story but his corpse was eventually found and used by Gecko Moria in the Thriller Bark arc.
To think 500 years ago, this repulsive thing ravaged the seas, raiding each country.
As such, Ancient Giants are not only far larger than regular ones, but they are also much more feral and animalistic, incapable of reason or rational thought the same way others are. Because of this, they are all very stupid, living on instinct and whatever urges they have. They are also incredibly rare, sprouting demonic horns from their heads that sell their appearance as vicious beasts.

Who Are The Descendants Of The Ancient Giants?
The Largest Giants of the Modern Day
Currently, there are no surviving members of this race of Giants that fans know of. However, the first of their scions to be seen was Little Oars Jr., who was the direct descendant of Oars himself and a key ally to the Whitebeard Pirates in the Marineford War. Though abnormally large for a giant, Little Oars Jr. was still smaller than his ancestor and, due to being a product of the modern age, was said to be smarter, though his strength was greatly diminished.
Although all the Ancient Giants themselves have likely died off, there are still some in the modern age who carry Ancient Giant blood in their veins, which makes them notably larger than others of their race. Other than this, those who carry this blood also tend to have the same horns on their heads as their ancestors did, which gives them a more imposing and scary visage, adding to their overall ferocity.
The most notable members of this race who carry the blood of the Ancient Giants are the members of the Elbaf Royal Family, which consists of King Harald, Loki, and Hajrudin. King Harald was noted to be far larger and stronger than the other Giants whom he ruled over, which had in no small part to do with his lineage. However, he wanted Elbaf to be less war-torn, peaceful, and more open, which is why he ripped the horns off of his head, believing them to be relics of a bygone age of Giants that he wanted to move away from.
Harald had two sons; Loki, who was born of the Royal Line and became the heir to the country’s throne, and Hajrudin, who was Harald’s son from a different woman who wasn’t part of the Royal Lineage, thus was never made a Prince. Surprisingly, while still huge, neither Loki nor Hajrudin reach the mythical size of the Ancient Giants nor do they have the horns associated with them, which is quite surprising considering how their father was of this line.
