The Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake, officially titled Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater, seemingly has a firm release date. Developed by Konami, Delta revives the beloved 2004 stealth game with new visuals and a total aesthetic overhaul. However, up until now, there has been no hint at when the new MGS would finally hit Steam. What appears to be a new leak, accompanied by a trailer, says that the reimagining of Metal Gear Solid 3 will finally arrive in the coming months.
As verified by PCGamesN, the listing for Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater on the PS5 variant of the PlayStation Store has been updated with a new trailer. Not only does this trailer show that the iconic Snake Versus Apes mode from the original version of the stealth and survival game will be returning in the remake – it also contains a firm launch date.
Based on this information, which appears on the game’s official listing, but which has not yet been confirmed by Konami, the remake of MGS 3 is coming soon. The Metal Gear Solid Delta release date is seemingly Thursday August 28, 2025. Below you can see an image from the PlayStation Store, as captured by PCGamesN.
Metal Gear Solid Delta follows 2024’s Silent Hill 2 Remake as Konami seemingly aims to revive some of its most-loved series. There is also speculation that a new Metal Gear Solid collection could come to PC, thus bringing MGS4 to the platform for the very first time.
While we wait for MGS Delta, you might want to try some of the other best stealth games, or maybe relive the ’90s heyday of Metal Gear Solid with the best old games that you can still run on your PC.
