Following in the footsteps of the Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry series, one of Ubisoft’s greatest open-world games now has another reason to come back. Watch Dogs 2 Steam achievements have been missing for a long time, but now the publisher has finally introduced the feature to its stylish cybercrime sequel. In even better news, you won’t need to replay the whole game if you’ve already fulfilled the requirements previously.

Watch Dogs 2 is certainly a well-liked game – its Steam edition boasts an 82% positive user rating from over 74,000 reviews – but it deserves more love. Stuck between a predecessor that leans on a protagonist who is so tremendously bland that he becomes memorable for it, and a sequel that’s a little too ambitious in its gang of theoretically unlimited different playable characters, the second game is the sweet spot. Its cast are charming, its rendition of San Francisco is suitably gorgeous and nightmarish in equal measure, and those combine with a fun story and ample combat options into one of the best open-world games to come from a studio famed for the genre.

Whether you’ve already played it, or have had it sitting on your pile of shame for years, now is a good chance to check in. With the new update, there are now 55 Steam achievements to earn in Watch Dogs 2. These range from simple story-based unlocks through to discovering secrets, racking up enough stealth takedowns, pulling off sufficiently impressive vehicle stunts, and even delivering on the title’s promise by petting plenty of pups.

Watch Dogs 2 Steam achievements are available now as a free update. You can browse the full list here. Note that if you’ve already completed the relevant accomplishments in the past, you simply need to launch the game, and they should be registered through Ubisoft Connect and unlocked automatically on Steam.
