Of course, the Harley is the biggest taking point here, which is a telling of the Three Worlds of One Piece, going over the First World and its destruction, the Second World and the Void Century, and finally the major war that is set to take place in the Third World as well. When looking at the Harley, there is quite a lot of exciting information for the fans to take in and it also features some of the most important characters in the story, including one who could be arguably the mightiest in the entire series, and by far.
Oda Reveals The History Of The Three Worlds
One Piece chapter 1138 was absolutely massive for the story in many ways. Not only did it introduce fans to the powers of Shamrock Figarland, but at the same time, fans also got the biggest lore reveal in the entire series, that is, the existence of the Harley. In the Owl’s Library, fans saw the Harley texts being handed to Nico Robin by Saul. Robin decided to read the Harley, and as she did that, Fans saw Franky exploring the Adam Tree, where he came across a cultural heritage site, which was essentially a scribble of the Harley texts drawn by a child during the Void Century, some 900-800 years ago. It showed the First World, the Second World, and the Third World, and covered the entire history of the One Piece world in a single double-page spread—something that took the fans’ breath away. Here is what the Harley texts had to say:
First World
Flames engulfed the land, and humans succumbed to their desires, touching the forbidden Sun. The enslaved prayed, and the Sun God appeared. The Earth God was enraged, and together with the serpent of infernal flames, shrouded the world in death and darkness. They would never meet again.
Second World
Breath stirred within the void, and the Forest God sent forth demons. The Sun did nothing but spread the fires of war. The people of the half-moon dreamed, the people of the full-moon dreamed. Humans slew the Sun and became Gods, and the Sea God raged. They Would never meet again.
Third World
In chaos, there is void. The troubled shadow remembers the promised day, and hears the voice of the fractured moon. The Sun God dances and laughs, leading the world to its end. The sun will return once more, and a new dawn will arrive. Surely, this time, they will meet again.
The Harley Confirms The Strongest One Piece Character Of All Time
Imu Might Just Be The Strongest Character In One Piece
The Harley mentions quite a few important characters in One Piece, and undoubtedly, the most important of them all is the Sun God, Nika. The Sun God Nika was first brought into existence by the wishes of the slaves long ago in the First World. At the time, slavery was rampant due to humans having discovered an infinite power source. Because the slaves likely had to mine the raw materials required for this fuel, they ended up praying for freedom from their chains, which is why the Sun God Nika appeared. Soon after, the world of One Piece was destroyed, likely due to the power of the Ancient Weapons that were created at this point for the first time. Nika died, and so ended the first world.
Oh Joy Boy, I wish I could’ve lived in your era! — Roger
In the Second World, fans saw breath being stirred into a post-apocalyptic world once again. This time around, it is highly likely that a tree sprouted fruits and led to the creation of the Devil Fruits. People consumed these fruits and gained immense powers. Meanwhile, the power source, also known as the Mother Flame, still existed or was once again created during this time period. It spread the flames of war, and at the end of it all, the people of the Half-moon and the Fullmoon prayed for Nika to appear once more, which is why the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika was created.

One Piece: How Shanks And Corazon Mirror Each Other
Shanks and Corazon mirror each other. Shanks might meed a similar fate to Corazon in One Piece.
This is precisely where Joy Boy came into the story and consumed this massively powerful Devil Fruit. Eventually, Joy Boy went on to awaken this Devil Fruit, and this awakening led to him becoming the Sun God Nika. The Sun God was, unfortunately, slain by the Imu here, which is why the Sea God, that is, Poseidon, raged for the first time and along with the usage of the other Ancient Weapons, sank the world 200 meters under. This is how the second world came to an end.
But, more than that, this world confirms to the fans that long ago, a massive war was fought between Joy Boy and Imu, and that Imu was the one who slew Joy Boy. As soon as Joy Boy died, the Void Century came to an end. Poseidon then sunk the world, as they couldn’t meet again. This is why Luffy’s return as Nika is so important, because this time around, he and the other sovereign, Poseidon, will most definitely meet and a massive battle will be fought against Imu, where Luffy and his allies will have to be victorious.
Will Luffy Become The Strongest At The End?
Luffy Has To Be The Strongest Ever
Although Imu was likely stronger than Joy Boy and is, currently, the strongest in the entire series, fans know that Luffy will have to overcome them, in one way or another. Imu may have the power of the Mother Flame and with it, the Ancient Weapons, along with the immense power of his forces as well, but Luffy is not going to be alone either.
This time, for sure, our two sovereigns will meet. — The Sea Kings
Luffy will most definitely have his allies, as depicted by the Ancient Mural, and at the same time, will eventually go on to fight and beat Imu. Upon doing so, Luffy will be the undisputed strongest in the history of One Piece, and that’s certainly something that fans would absolutely love to see in the story.
One Piece is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus apps. The release date for the next chapter of One Piece, One Piece 1139, is set to be February 9, 2025.
