Pokemon Pocket offers a wide variety of options when constructing a deck. Stage One Pokemon give you a way to get stronger cards on your side of the field without having to invest in a six-card package that takes up too much room in your deck. Of course, they aren’t as easy to use as Basic Pokemon, but they are worth setting up.

Grass decks just got even better with some nice tech hits from Space-Time Smackdown.
Space-Time Smackdown has many different Stage One cards to choose from while also giving some previous Pokemon access to their stronger Evolutions. Some cards aren’t even the end of the line but still manage to come out on top due to their unique Abilities.
10
Toxicroak
Ramping Up Damage Quick
Toxicroak and Drapion come very close to matching each other’s powers. In the end, Toxicroak comes out on top. Toxicroak may have only 90 HP, but it is much easier to get on the field due to the fact that its previous Evolution is searchable through Team Galactic Grunt.
While its Move is dependent on how many Pokemon you have on the Bench, being able to pull a Group Beatdown off at only two Energy makes it much quicker to use. In addition to this, its previous Evolution can also use this Move as well, but for half damage.
9
Electivire
Easy To Charge
Electivire can dish out some serious damage, but it doesn’t require you to invest in its full Energy cost to get started. For just two Electric Energy, you can start using Exciting Voltage to deal 40 damage. To unlock its full capabilities, attach two more and this Move will do 120 damage instead.

Electivire can be charged through multiple methods. You can attach Energy using Volkner, use the Electabuzz from Space-Time Smackdown, or use Lt. Surge to Move Energy around while Electivire is still an Electabuzz.
8
Mismagius ex
The Strongest Confusion User
Confusion is added to the game in Space-Time Smackdown as an additional Status Condition. This forces your opponent to flip a coin each time they want to use an afflicted Pokemon’s Move. Mismagius ex is the most powerful Pokemon that can do this.
Magical Delusion can deal 70 damage while Confusing your opponent’s Pokemon. Unlike other Status Conditions that go away if your opponent flips their coins right, Confusion doesn’t go away until they swap out their Pokemon for another. This can buy you some time to stall.
7
Magmortar
Burn Your Opponent’s Field Down
Magmortar is a powerful Stage One Pokemon that can deal a hefty 100 damage, while also dishing out burns that can potentially stick around for more than one turn. The biggest downside to Magmortar is that it can’t Retreat easily.

There’s something powerful hiding in the shadows.
This means that, if you’re going with Magmortar, you need to be ready to commit to attacking the moment it hits the Active Spot. This can be difficult with the Energy requirement but can be made easier with Moltres ex or Space-Time Smackdown’s Magmar card.
6
Piloswine
Piloswine isn’t even fully Evolved at Stage One, yet it already has plenty of reason to see play. Thick Far allows it to take 20 less damage from Fire-types and other Water-types your opponent may be using.
With this additional bit of protection, Piloswine’s 110 HP can take you pretty far until it gets another big buff when it Evolves. Of course, being such a massive damage sponge, the downside is it will take quite a few Energy if it wants to Retreat. Luckily, Water has the best Energy acceleration techniques out of any type.
5
Purugly
A Sneaky Team Plasma Pokemon
If you want to hit your opponent with an unexpected strategy, then Purugly has one chaotic Move to go with. Interrupt deals 60 damage but lets you see what your opponent has in their hand. You then get to send one of those cards back to the deck.

They really pack a punch in this set.
This can be a useful way of getting rid of Evolutions that can complete their game plan. You can also use this to get rid of a Supporter that will give you trouble if your opponent gets the chance to use it.
4
Lucario
Coaching Pokemon For Success
Lucario is Arceus’s gift to Fighting-type decks. This is because it has the Ability, Fighting Coach, which can boost your damage output by 20. This affects everything from Basic Pokemon to Stage twos. Lucario’s Ability can also stack with other copies of itself.
With two Lucario in play, Submarine Blow can go from 40 to 80 real fast. In fact, even with just Lucario on the field, Submarine Blow is an automatic 60 damage Move. This is an essential pull if you want your Fighting-type deck to unleash its full power.
3
Weavile ex
Agile And Deadly
If you want to pair your Darkrai ex with a Pokemon that will take advantage of its Abilities, then Weavile ex is the perfect choice for attacker. This is because Scratching Nails is so cheap to set up and its damage scales whenever your opponent’s Pokemon already have damage counters.
Your opponent will have very little time to prepare against Weavile’s quick strikes. The fact that this line is also a four-card package makes it easy to slide other Pokemon such as Spiritomb into your deck without ruining consistency.
2
Lickilicky ex
The Strongest Coin Flip Pokemon
Lickilicky ex is the ultimate coin flip card in Pokemon Pocket. This is because, unlike others of its kind, Lickilicky ex has incredible base damage that you are always guaranteed to dish out even if you fail the flip.
As a Colorless-type, Lickilicky ex can also be slipped into any deck as long as you can manage the resources to get it to attack. After doing the math, Lickilicky ex can knock out any Pokemon in two turns, even with failed coin flips. If you manage to land two successfully, it’s pretty much an endgame in one turn.
1
Yanmega ex
Make Any Deck Dual Type
Yanmega ex is another flexible Stage One Pokemon, but what makes it one of the best to pull is that it doesn’t just benefit any one type. Instead, it allows you to add Grass-type damage to any deck that has space to fit this card.
Yanmega ex has a completely Colorless Energy requirement despite being a Grass-type. This makes it easy to include two or more types in a deck, giving you the element of surprise against players that think they’ve gotten a type advantage over you.
