If you’re going to emerge from these battles alive, you’ll need to be prepared. While Freedom Wars has various ways that you can improve your weapons, this isn’t the only way to buff your character’s abilities; it’s also possible to enhance your character’s stats through the use of augmentations.

What Are Augmentations?

Augmentations are stat bonuses that you can give your character to increase their efficacy in battle. You can equip them in the loadout menu to grant buffs, such as boosts to general attack power or your health pool.

The augmentations you can equip at one time will be limited not only by your available slots, but also their cost.

Each augmentation has a numeric value associated with it, and your character has a point total that you aren’t allowed to exceed, meaning you may need to get creative with your character build.

How To Craft Augmentations

Augmentations will become available after you purchase the Grade 1 Ability Development Facility Permit Entitlement, which you’ll then be able to find in the Facility Management menu. From here, you can begin crafting whatever buffs you’d like.

Similar to weapon modifications, you’ll need to spend resources earned from missions and Entitlement Points in order to create augmentations.

You may also leverage the citizens you’ve rescued to lower the Points cost via the Citizen Request menu, provided they have the requisite facility management grades.

How To Add Augmentation Slots

After getting the Grade 2 Ability Development Facility Permit Entitlement, you’ll be able to unlock additional augmentation slots for your character and increase their available point total.

Unlike the crafting process, this does not use any resources, only the help of a citizen. After selecting which person you would like to use, you’ll be shown what upgrade they can provide (increasing points or adding slots). Confirm the upgrade, and your character will be enhanced.
