Storm has received huge buffs since Season One of Marvel Rivals, has now entered the meta, and is one of the most picked duelists in the game. Storm is a flying Hero capable of outputting long-range projectile attacks at enemy lines. She can also provide a small movement speed and attack power buffs to all her teammates around her.

Here’s how to counter Spider-Man in Marvel Rivals!

A capable Storm on the enemy team can give you a hard time because she can do a large amount of damage to your teammates while playing very safely. The best way to counter Storms can be obvious initially, using heroes with hit-scan capabilities.

How To Counter Storm

When facing Storm as the enemy, the first thing you will notice is that she is very hard to kill. Storm is not hard to kill because she is tanky, but because most of the time Storm is flying far away and being evasive. The best way to counter this is to use hit-scan capable Heroes. Heroes with hit-scans are ranged Heroes with their projectiles instantly hitting the enemy within the target reticle, and the projectile has no “flying delay”.

The best Heroes to counter Storm overall are Punisher, Hela, or Black Widow. Punshier can use his long-range gun to easily pressure Storm and force her to retreat to heal or even kill her. Hela requires more skill, but if you can land headshots consistently on a flying Storm, you could make it impossible for the enemy to play Storm. Black Widow’s effectiveness is pretty obvious as she can use her sniper to take down Storm from the sky.

How To Counter Storm As A Duelist

Punisher is the Hero we recommend using to counter Storm. In a fast-paced competitive game, you can easily focus on Storm and shoot her down without much effort using Punisher.

Spider-Man and Iron Fist also work well in taking down Storm. Using these heroes for this purpose is risky, as you will be behind enemy lines. If you can consistently manage to kill the Storm using these Heroes, the enemy might even reconsider using Storm for the match.

When playing Punisher to counter Storm, it’s best to use your automatic rifle as it’s much more accurate than Punisher’s turret. In the end, countering Storm as a duelist is pretty straightforward, because any duelist that can use effective long-range attacks is great against Storm.

How To Counter Storm As A Strategist

One thing strategists have to worry about is Storm’s ultimate skill. Storm’s ultimate is mostly used to take out the enemy’s healers, as it does high damage and can target healers with pinpoint accuracy.

Always keep your healer ultimate ready to counter enemy duelist ultimate. If caught off guard by Storm’s ultimate skill, you can only pray for the best.

When playing against a team that has Storm, it’s best to use healers that have AOE healing ultimate abilities, like Luna Snow, Cloak and Dagger, and Invisible Women. It’s not recommended to use your long-range healer’s attacks on Storm, as it’s much better to focus on healing your team.

How To Counter Storm As A Vanguard

Doctor Strange is one of the best defensive Counter’s against Storm. Storm’s DPS output is not high enough to quickly break Strange’s shield and a good Strange can make the enemy Storm feel useless. Using Doctor Strange to counter Storm can be obvious. Stay in the front as the vanguard of your team and use your shields.

Overall, as a Vanguard to counter Storm, simply play Vanguard heroes that can provide cover for your allies. Magneto, Doctor Strange, and Groot are effective for this purpose.
