The Tomb in Black Ops 6 is shaping up to be a fun map for those looking for a more casual Zombies experience, transporting players to a small Avalon dig site where they can either test their luck at surviving high rounds or attempt to obtain the Sentinel Artifact by completing the main Easter Egg quest. However, players embarking on either task will need to be prepared.
Setting up early on is one of the most important steps to ensuring a successful run in Black Ops 6 Zombies, and with The Tomb’s roster of secrets and Easter Eggs, acquiring the best items and gear has never been easier. Certain Easter Eggs allow players to obtain a Pack-a-Punched weapon for free with minimal effort. However, one of the biggest pick-me-ups has to be the ability to get 1,000 Essence straight from the spawn room.

How To Get Free Essence In The Tomb
Getting 1,000 Essence in The Tomb is fairly similar to other side Easter Eggs, like the Basketball Easter Egg on Terminus and the Wishing Well Easter Egg on Citadelle Des Morts. However, unlike the previous two, this one in The Tomb can be completed right from spawn.
To activate it, players must first obtain the Dead Wire Ammo Mod on their weapon. The most surefire way to do this is by purchasing Dead Wire from The Arsenal Machine for 500 Salvage. Fortunately, one of these machines is already available in the Dig Site spawn area, though players may need to progress through enough rounds to farm enough.
Once players have Dead Wire infused into their weapon, they will need to locate and shoot two generators:
- The first can be found against the wall ahead of the Rampage Inducer, just beside a staircase.
- The second generator is located to the left of the Level II Armor Vest.
Shooting both generators with Dead Wire will power them up. Once both are active, a bunch of loot will spawn on a fallen pillar in the center of the Dig Site. Here, players will receive 1,000 Essence, a free Full Power power-up, and other lower-tier rewards.
Though 1,000 Essence may not seem like much in the long run, acquiring it in the spawn area early on is a big help, especially considering both of the first barricades cost over 2,000 Essence to open.
Pair this Easter Egg with a Double Points power-up to receive a total of 2,000 Essence with little effort.
