Arguably the most skilled swordsmith alive, Tecchin Tecchikawahara is a chief of the Swordsmith Village. He is a slightly arrogant but highly skilled person who is held in high regard by the people of his village.

It’s his fault for making dull blades that break.

When Hotaru Haganezuka was young, he was so chaotic and horrible that he caused his parent’s mental breakdown. Tecchikawahara, showing his generosity and kindness, adopted the boy and raised him. His kindness was critical in shaping Hotaru’s future and he later became a skilled swordsmith. By offering help, Tecchikawahara leads by example and has demonstrated on many occasions why he is the right man to lead the village.

Although Tecchin Tecchikawahara has worked with swords all his life, he can barely use one when push comes to shove. During the ambush of Swordsmith village orchestrated by Gyokko and Hantengu, he could not defend himself and would have died a gruesome death had Love Hashira not arrived at the scene on time.
