This chapter 5 guide is based on a Normal difficulty playthrough of Ninja Gaiden 2 Black. This level is a bit different from the others, as you don’t play as Ryu, and there are no key collectibles, only consumables. You also don’t need to worry about missing out on any new weapons, Ninpo, or anything of the sort.

Chapter 6 Walkthrough and Collectibles – Ninja Gaiden 2 Black

This guide will help players complete the Aqua Capital, the sixth chapter in Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, and find all the level’s collectibles.

Ninja Gaiden 2 Black – Chapter 5 Walkthrough (All Secrets, Chests, & Collectibles)

  • This chapter should only take about 15-20 minutes to complete.
  • You will only have access to Momiji’s Heavenly Dragon Naginata weapon, but you’ll at least still have a Bow/arrow to use.
  • Momiji can double jump!

Chest 1

As soon as the level starts, go towards the bridge right in front of you, and a couple of baddies will approach for a good ol’ fight. Once they’re taken care of, keep going across the bridge. Right at the end of it (before a staircase to the right, you’ll spot a treasure chest out in the open.

However, some enemies will show up to face you before you can take its contents: Grains of Spiritual Life. Look up the nearby staircase to see a flame archer –you can easily take them down with your bow.

Once it’s defeated, the door behind them will open. Wrap around to the right to reach an open area with a nice city view.

A bunch of enemies will come at you here, including flame archers and those disappearing ninja magic users. Finally, Black Spider Tengu (Blue) will show up.

  • It’s worth noting that this fight with Black Spider will end prematurely, so don’t get so worked up about trying to defeat it.
  • The main attack to look out for are his super high jumps. Once he moves up in the air, make sure to dodge and back away as far as you can, and try to get a good swing at him when he’s on the ground.
  • The other move to watch out for is a spinning hurricane move. A tornado will appear around him, which is a sign for you to back away to avoid damage.

Chest 2

Once the fight ends, go towards the only open gate (if you’re facing the building you just fought in front of, turn right).

You’ll see a chest hanging out on the left-hand side containing a Herb of Spiritual Life.

Now, you can go through the open gate, following the path towards a blue dragon save point statue.

Chest 3

Next, head into the nearby open door and go up the staircase. Watch out because an enemy will jump out of nowhere as soon as you enter the next room.

Defeat the demons and walk to the opposite side of the room to find a chest to the left of a sewer drain hole thing. The chest has a Herb of Spiritual Life.

Chest 4

You can hold down the RB/R1 button to show the direction of your main goal.

Now, go through the tunnel to end up in a very familiar area. Jump down and defeat the ninjas that pop up. Instead of going towards the main bridge area, turn right and left to find a chest tucked away with Grains of Spiritual Life.

Chest 5

Head towards the big red bridge and jump up to the ground level to the left of the bridge to face some enemies. You’ll find a shop near the front of the bridge, and if you head left, that’s the main path. However, cross the bridge and follow the stone path to find a lone treasure chest with a Devil’s Way Mushroom.

Go back to the path near the merchant to continue forward. Of course, expect some ninjas to approach you on your nice walk through the candlelit path. You’ll eventually reach a dragon statue save point. Prepare yourself because as soon as you walk into the main building, you’ll have to face off against some ninjas, demons, and two bosses.

How to Beat Black Spider Tengu’s (Red and Blue)

Since you really can’t experiment with your arsenal here, you’ll have to make do with what you have. Dealing with the two Spider Tengu’s can be annoying, especially at the same time, but if you focus on defeating one first while the other is at a distance, it’s certainly doable. Casting Momiji’s Ninpo will come in handy in knocking the health bars down, so hopefully you saved some Ki for this boss fight.

Also, the same moves are going to be used from the previous fight with Blue Tengu, so make sure to back away when you see him take flight. Keeping your distance is the key to this fight in general. Of course, make sure you utilize all those consumables you collected to get an advantage.
