There are two ways to beat such enemies. The first and most obvious one is to just straight up kill them, or you can take your time and strategies and beat them without attracting any attention. The former option is pretty simple as it doesn’t take much planning, while the latter requires careful planning and a patient playstyle, which isn’t easy at all.

How To Perform Stealth Kills

While fighting a mutant, you must be extra careful, as you can be spotted quickly. While the same is the case against fighting humans, you won’t be spotted that easily. Crouching and hiding behind covers will be your main play if you want to perform some stealth kills.

The enemy’s AI in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is smart, and the enemy may spot you before you even notice them. So, you would have to be one step ahead all the time and be wary of your surroundings.

When you are crouching, a black shade will appear on the surroundings, indicating that you are in stealth mode.

Once you spot an enemy, crouch and follow them; it won’t be too hard, but check if someone else is around, as you could be ambushed.

After you know which enemy to target, simply crouch behind them and equip your knife. When you are within a specific range, Skif will change the grip of how he wields the knife. That would be the indicator of the moment you have to perform the kill, so just press the fire button, and Skif will perform the death blow, silently killing your target.

If you perform a stealth kill when another enemy is nearby, you most likely will be spotted.

Other Ways To Do Stealth Takedowns

If you aren’t a fan of sneaking up on an enemy and killing them, then there is another way to perform a stealth kill. Using the knife can take a lot of time, so many may give up in between the operation and go for the good old straight-up massacre.

The second way doesn’t require a knife. The game features suppressed weapons that won’t give up your location unless you stand in front of the entire army.

Such weapons can be found during missions, or you may find them lying around in stashes. That said, you won’t have to wander around and find a suppressed weapon, as you can get one pretty early in-game.

You can get your first silenced pistol by doing the ‘All That is Left’ mission. The quest may take you a little while to complete, but it is totally worth it. If you already have a silencer, then you can simply attach that to Skif’s pistol.

It is still recommended to crouch and follow enemies from behind to kill them with the silenced weapon. You can also kill them with a single headshot, so if you are confident, you can rush a little, but staying behind the enemy is the ideal choice.
