How to Unlock New Characters in Heroes of Hammerwatch 2
Simply enough, all you need to do is play through the game and find each of the locked characters while you’re out adventuring. No need to spend any extra resources or do any specific challenges like in some of the most difficult of games. Reaching the later levels will require a lot of investment for character and town upgrades, so it may take a while before you can get all the characters unlocked.
There are three unlockable characters in Heroes of Hammerwatch 2. You can find them in the following maps:
- Rogue – Dark caves
- Warlock – Temple
- Sorcerer – Dark Citadel
Search every nook and cranny of these maps, and you’ll eventually find NPCs who will unlock their respective classes for you. After interacting with them, head back to town, press Escape, and select Switch Character. You’ll be able to make new characters using the newly unlocked classes from there without resetting your town’s upgrade progress.
All Classes in Heroes of Hammerwatch 2
There are seven playable classes in Heroes of Hammerwatch, and they’re more or less the same ones you’ll find in most fantasy RPGs. They do have unique abilities, however, making each of them distinct in terms of playstyle.

Each class can choose between one of three different Specializations once they reach level 10. This gives them access to an additional skill based on the Specialization they chose.
