Marowak might be one of the most underappreciated characters in the Pokemon TCG, with a noticeably small roster of top-tier cards despite being one of the first Pokemon released in Kanto. Given its long career, it’s no surprise to see that Marowak’s most valuable cards date back to the EX era, where most of these entries hail.

However, age isn’t everything, as Marowak also boasts valuable promo cards from more recent times. Whether you prefer the classic designs or are more partial to modern cards, Marowak has options for you to choose from among its most valuable cards. These are the most valuable Marowak cards in the Pokemon TCG.
Cards are ordered according to their TCGPlayer Market Price, which is the average price you might pay for a copy of the cards below.
Given the age and rarity of these cards, only those with an established market price on TCGplayer are included.
However, sale prices differ depending on the card’s condition, so this market price is just a rough idea of the card’s value.
New School Meets Old School
Alolan Marowak might never find a place among the most valuable cards from the Sun & Moon era, but this promo card’s artwork is still stunning. The blue flames from Alolan Marowak’s Bone Club are gorgeously depicted on this card and offer a source of light that illuminates the Pokemon’s darker main color palette.
While Alolan Marowak is technically a different form of Marowak, it doesn’t boast a high volume of cards, so it finds a home among its OG Marowak kin.
Despite this card’s limited release in the Sun & Moon era, its price chart shows a tumultuous instability, though within a relatively predictable range. This card typically dips as low as $4.45 and shows brief periods of support that have pushed it over the five-dollar mark in some brief instances.
Sometimes, Winning Is Everything
The Pokemon TCG is primarily about having fun (though recent years indicate a heavy focus on the business side of cards), except when it comes to prize cards, like the first-place Marowak card. This League & Championships Marowak card is unique in that this version was only given to winners, but it has a set of twins that share identical card art.
While this card’s value is easily the highest of its twins, it’s roughly double the price of the second-place version, and about 2.5x as valuable as the fourth-place iteration. Honing in on the winner’s card, its value remains relatively stable at roughly the $7.50 mark, though it continues to creep up over time as this card becomes more difficult to find.

Marowak: FireRed & LeafGreen (Reverse Holo) – $17.75
A Gleaming Light In The Dark
The Marowak from FireRed & LeafGreen might not be among the most expensive cards in the set, but this card comes in two versions that are each worthy of a place on this list. While both the Holo and Reverse Holo versions boast relatively strong market prices, the Reverse Holo claims a solid lead in value – about 50 percent higher than its lesser version.
As the more valuable version, looking closer at the Reverse Holo version reveals solid value across conditions, with near-mint (NM) copies commanding as much as $20.49. However, if you’re just interested in owning this card in any condition, you can find damaged copies somewhere in the $6.50 range.
2
Marowak: Delta Species (Reverse Holo) – $17.98
Moving Toward The Apex
The Marowak from Delta Species is arguably the most unusual-looking Marowak on this list (ignoring the entirely different form that Alolan Marowak takes). However, this chunky little fellow is strangely endearing, despite its fierce pose and menacing grip on its large Bone Club.
Much like the FRLG Marowak, this card also comes in Reverse Holo and Holo forms, with the former boasting another sizable value advantage. NM copies soar as high as $19, followed by lightly played (LP) examples touting sales in the $16 range. Moderately played (MP) varies wildly, from the five to ten dollar range, while heavily played (HP) sinks as low as $2.74.

Marowak: Team Rocket Returns (Holo Rare) – $40.04
A Rare Rocket Win
The Dark Marowak from Team Rocket Returns claims the crown as the most valuable Marowak card ever, beating out its competition by a significant margin. Unlike the previous Marowak cards, this one sees its Holo version claim victory on a technicality, as there’s currently no established market price for the Reverse Holo cards.
However, a closer look at the sales reveals that the Reverse Holo has a much higher ceiling than its Holo iteration, jumping to nearly double the value in NM conditions. However, the picture is more muddled when you move down the totem pole, as an LP Holo typically sells around the $40 mark, while an LP Reverse Holo can range between $32 and $45.
