Victoria Hand Guide (Deck, Strategy, Counter)

Victoria Hand Guide (Deck, Strategy, Counter)

Marvel SNAP’s first Spotlight Cache card of 2025 is Victoria Hand, an Ongoing character that buffs cards generated in your hand. While many view her as a dedicated card for the card-gen archetype, Victoria has surprisingly proven valuable in discard decks, too. In this guide, we’ll introduce two consistent decks for Victoria Hand from each archetype, helping you adapt her to SNAP’s current metagame.

Victoria Hand Deck Synergies

  • Victoria Hand buffs the cards added to your hand by card generators.
  • Agent Coulson, Agent 13, Mirage, Frigga, Valentina, Kate Bishop, and Moon Girl are your card generators. (Frigga and Moon Girl also help duplicate key cards like Victoria Hand for extra buffs or disruptions.)
  • Quinjet discounts generated cards, letting you play more of them.
  • The Collector grows stronger with each generated card.
  • Cosmo is your tech card. Dropping her in the Devil Dino and Victoria Hand lane protects them from most enemy attacks.
  • Devil Dino is your win condition, ideally played after Moon Girl or when you have many generated cards in hand.

Some players have reported that Victoria may buff cards generated in the enemy’s hand or cards that switch sides. It’s unclear whether this is a bug or how she’s intended to work. If it’s not a bug, her text will need to be updated, as it clearly states that cards generated in “your” hand should benefit from Victoria’s buff. Either way, it’s something to watch out for when playing Victoria decks.

How to Play Victoria Hand Effectively

If you’re planning on playing a Victoria Hand deck, keep these points in mind:

  1. Balance card generation and Energy consumption. You want a full hand for Devil Dino to grow as large as possible, but you also need space to generate cards and leverage Victoria’s effect. Efficient Energy use is key, and sometimes skipping turns to maintain a full hand is more critical than filling the board.
  2. Use joker cards to confuse the enemy. Victoria Hand decks generate plenty of random cards. Drop some strategically as faint plays to distract your opponent and keep them guessing your next move.
  3. Protect your Ongoing lane. Your opponent will likely target your Victoria Hand lane with tech cards like Enchantress. To counter this, play Devil Dino and Victoria in the same lane (creating an Ongoing setup) and protect them with Cosmo.

Alternative Discard Deck for Victoria Hand

How to Counter Victoria Hand

In the current metagame, Super Skrull is an ideal counter for Victoria Hand. Many players are still running Doctor Doom 2099 decks, which Skrull can benefit from, making him a solid tech card whether the opponent plays Victoria Hand or Doom 2099 lineups.

If you’re looking for additional counters against Victoria decks, consider Shadow King and Enchantress. Shadow King can remove Victoria’s buffs in one lane, while Enchantress stops her buffs entirely by removing all Ongoing effects. Another cheeky move could be playing Valkyrie in one of the enemy’s critical lanes to disrupt their Power distribution.

Is ‘Victoria Hand’ Worth It?

victoria hand's card description in marvel snap.

Victoria Hand is a worthwhile card. Whether you obtain her through the Spotlight Cache or purchase her with Tokens, she provides a solid return on investment. While she’s somewhat RNG-reliant, Victoria Hand’s permanent buffs make it easy to build consistent decks around her. Additionally, several archetypes—like card-gen and discard—can benefit from her effect, making her a no-brainer for many players.
