How long is Assassin’s Creed Shadows? Ubisoft’s storied RPG series is finally taking us to Japan, as we follow assassin Naoe and samurai Yasuke through the twilight years of the Sengoku period. Considering how long fans have waited to live out their ultimate shinobi fantasy, hopes are high for plenty of content to dive into.
The good news is that it sounds like Assassin’s Creed Shadows will have plenty for you to do, and its main story won’t pass you by in a flash. Following the footsteps of its open-world predecessors, the Assassin’s Creed Shadows length won’t disappoint.
How long is Assassin’s Creed Shadows?
Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ story is expected to be 30-60 hours long, based on a comment made by creative director Jonathan Dumont in a December 2024 Reddit AMA. However, considering the slew of side content likely to be available, we estimate that you’ll comfortably be able to sink over 100 hours into it all told.
“I think Shadows’ main journey is comparable to Origins/Odyssey and Valhalla [in length],” Dumont states. Origins’ narrative reaches its apex at around the 30-hour mark, while Valhalla will set you back 60. Considering the Assassin’s Creed Shadows map is set to be comparable in scale to Origins’, we suspect it’ll find a sweet spot between the two – perhaps more akin to Odyssey’s ~45-hour runtime.
And that’s everything we know about the Assassin’s Creed Shadows length right now. Be sure to check back once the Assassin’s Creed Shadows release date has finally arrived, as we’ll update this guide with our anecdotal playtime.
