Clash Royale is a strategy game developed and published by Supercell. It has been one of the most popular mobile games in the world. The game combines elements of collectible card games, tower defense, and strategy gameplay elements. The game features a total of 114 cards with 6 champions and 3 Tower Troops. This Clash Royale Card Tier List should only be taken as a reference because different strategies and processes can yield different results for players.
The list is categorized as follows:
- SS Tier: Cards in this section are the best, their Overall performance and versatility are better than other cards.
- S Tier: Cards in this list are good but not as good and versatile as the S+ tier.
- A Tier: Cards in this list are mediocre and may be useful in some scenarios.
- B Tier: Cards in this tier can be avoided as they are only good under limited conditions.
- C Tier: Cards in this list are straight-up bad and players should avoid them.

The most recent card arrived this month with the Rune Giant. I paired her with some classic favorites like Electro Wizard and Executioner to test how her synergy worked with multi-hit cards. The results were solid, with those extra damage boosts quickly adding up, making these troops noticeably more effective in fights. The Rune Giant certainly feels strong and brings a lot to the table, but I’d rate her as S-tier rather than SS-tier.
The June 2024 update was huge considering the case of the Goblin cards. We saw three new Goblin cards, and out of them, Goblin Machine was wreaking havoc. Until the emergency update, it was broken, and guess it still is to some extent. The rest two are decent cards too. I won’t rank the Goblin Queen’s Journey mode or the Tower Troop since it is not a permanent card to use in other modes.
However, it is interesting to note that the Royal Giant card is easily the best of the lot still, and getting him placed higher would be an easy choice according to me. The most recent Tower Troop was the Dagger Dutchess which is one of the powerful tower troops available now, benching off both the first two releases. The new Champion Card Goblinstein is also a fantastic champion, easily the top tier currently.
Ice Spirit Evolution got a buff whereas, Archer Evolution and Goblin Giant both got significant Nerfs in the December 2023 update. Even though Pheonix remains one of the trusted cards by the players, the consistent balance updates, especially Nerf, might not make her a safe bet among the cards. Ice Spirit players might worry about the freeze time, but it remains among the strong set of cards, so players need not worry.
