With every Genshin Impact character but the Traveler, a Stella Fortuna is needed to upgrade their talents. However, the Traveler is a bit different. Rather than using a Stella Fortuna, the Traveler uses various items to upgrade their constellation, each one matching one of the elements they can align with. For example, the Traveler, when aligned with Anemo, uses Memory of Roving Gales to reveal each step of their constellation.
These special items are not obtained through the same methods as Stella Fortunas, and instead must be found in other ways. There are six copies of each, to fill out the full six stars in the Traveler’s constellation. Let’s take a look at where to find each of these items.
The constellation items do not necessarily need to be obtained in the exact orders listed in this guide.
Anemo Traveler: Memory of Roving Gales
The item that an Anemo-aligned Traveler uses for their constellation is the Memory of Roving Gales. Here’s where to find them.
- One copy of the Memory of Roving Gales can be obtained by completing the quest For a Tomorrow Without Tears (Act II of the Prologue).
- A second can then be earned for completing Act III of the Prologue, Song of the Dragon and Freedom.
- The third, fourth, and fifth copies can be obtained by reaching Adventure Rank 27, AR 37, and AR 46. When the player has reached these ranks, they can collect their rewards from Katheryne at the Adventurers’ Guild.
-
Finally, a sixth Memory of Roving Gales can be purchased from Marjorie, who runs the souvenir shop called With Wind Comes Glory. She’ll sell it for 225
Anemo Sigils.
Geo Traveler: Memory of Immovable Crystals
For the Geo-aligned Traveler, constellation upgrades require the Memory of Immovable Crystals items. These are found in similar methods to the Anemo items, with some differences.
- A first Memory of Immovable Crystals is rewarded to the player after completing the second act of Chapter I, Farewell, Archaic Lord.
- A second is then awarded for completing Act III of Chapter I, A New Star Approaches.
- The other four are all for sale at the Liyue Harbor souvenir shop, Mingxing Jewelry. Xingxi, who runs the shop, will sell them for 225 Geo Sigils each, for a total of 900 Sigils.
Electro Traveler: Memory of Violet Flash
Travelers aligned with the power of Electro will need a Memory of Violet Flash for each level of their constellation. These are found in the following ways:
- One is a reward for completing Stillness, the Sublimation of Shadow, which is Act II of Chapter II.
- Another is earned for finishing Act III of the same chapter, titled Omnipresence Over Mortals.
-
Finally, the remaining four are rewards for leveling up the Statues of the Seven in Inazuma to the following levels:
- Level 3
- Level 5
- Level 7
- Level 9
Dendro Traveler: Memory of Flourishing Green
Travelers who visit Sumeru and align with Dendro will need an item called Memory of Flourishing Green for their constellation power-ups. Here’s where to find all of them:
- One can be earned by completing Chapter III, Act II: The Morn a Thousand Roses Brings
- Another is earned for completing Chapter III, Act IV: King Deshret and the Three Magi
- The third is a reward for completing the quest titled Where the Boat of Consciousness Lies in Chapter III, Act V: Akasha Pulses, the Kalpa Flame Rises
-
Three are earned by leveling up the Statues of the Seven in Sumeru
- One at Level 3
- One at Level 5
- One at Level 7
Hydro Traveler: Memory of Running Stream
The fifth region the Traveler and Paimon visit, Fontaine, is home to the Hydro element. Interacting with a Statue of the Seven here will align the Traveler with Hydro, meaning they’ll need Memory of Running Stream to power up their constellation.
- One is a reward for completing Archon Quest Chapter IV, Act II: As Light Rain Falls Without Reason
- A second copy is a reward for completing Act IV: Cataclysm’s Quickening
- A third is rewarded for completion of Act V: Masquerade of the Guilty
-
Three more are rewards for leveling up the Fontaine Statues of the Seven:
- One at Level 3
- One at Level 5
- One at Level 7
Pyro Traveler: Blazing Flint Ore
Breaking from the pattern of “Memory of…” items, the Traveler will use Blazing Flint Ore to level up their Pyro-aligned constellation. These items are found only through tribal reputation rewards. That is, by maxing out tribal reputation (level 4) with each of Natlan’s tribes, the player will earn a Blazing Flint Ore. There are six tribes in total, so six of this item can be earned. However, right now, the Collective of Plenty tribe is not released, so players can only earn five Blazing Flint Ores.
The tribes currently available (and therefore able to reward the Traveler with Blazing Flint Ore) are the following:
- Children of Echoes
- People of the Springs
- Flower-Feather Clan
- Masters of the Night-Wind
- Scions of the Canopy
Tribal reputation can be earned through various activities, including certain World Quests, Tribal Chronicle questlines, Exploration Progress, completing Weekly Bounties, and fulfilling Supply Notice requests. Natlan’s tribes will only offer tribal reputation rewards after completing Chapter V: Act I (Natlan’s Archon Quest), known as Flowers Resplendent on the Sun-Scorched Sojourn. Each tribe’s reputation level can be viewed by interacting with their respective Obsidian Totem Pole or the reputation representative stationed next to it.
